I am just wondering why they haven't done so from the beginning. They were just killing time and I guess many people were switching away or doing something else before the results. I was

Bonnie beat you to it anyway!

I don't mind the idea of two shows but not if it means the results aren't announced live.

Don't want to be a pedant here but I guess it depends on how you interpret the word 'audience'. Reading it again, it could refer to the studio audience actually. I don't know, but just read it again and tell me what you think.

Quote:
“From the quarter-final, there will be a main live show where the remaining celebrities and their partners will dance for the judges scores and the audience votes. The voting lines will open once all remaining couples have danced their routines. An announcement will be made to that effect during the live programme. Later that same night, there will be a live results show, where the audience voting results and the combined scores will be announced. The bottom two scoring couples will go into a dance-off as per the rules above.”

I hope its not a Sunday show - it annoys the hell out of me when they pretend its Sunday when we all know it happened the day before. Putting Tess' hair into a ponytail fooled no-one!

As stated earlier, this was in the published rules from the start of the competition (and it only applies to the final few programmes). So any supposed switching away does not come into it.

So the BBC had decided to mess around with it once again, at the beginning of the series.

Sorry, don't use smileys, take it as you read it, I don't mind.
If I'm misunderstood on a message board, It's hardly the end of the world.

No offence.

OK.

Taken as (I) read it (and no offence taken).

Then they will remain empty - re-read the section from the website:

Really glad it's gone back to the 2 show format, god forbid it ever goes back to Sunday

Oooo, that would be my preference.

I agree this is not news. It has always been planned that from the quarter finals (5th December) there will be a gap between the shows. Casualty and The Impressions Show with Culshaw and Stephenson will be on after the main show and the results show is on at 9.40 pm.

Fantastic! About time, the one show format just hasn't worked. The one show format has really dragged at times, and there's not that anticipation when you know results are there in 10 minutes or whatever.

Plus, I really missed the 'Keeeeep Dancing!' bit at the end of the first show, that was one of it's catchphrases!

Know what you mean - I've even been tempted onto the other side to watch the dark lord's 3 month advert for his new act.

I think you'll find that the two-show format is only for the latter stages of the competition (if you read the rules on the link provided earlier). Don't get carried away thinking that this is a permanent change.
