'Strictly' returning to two-show format

The one time they did the separate results show on the same night last year (semis) it got the lowest ratings of any show of the entire series. And lower than any of the shows this year as well. People just wander off in the break and don't come back. It was the same in previous series as well.

So I'd gird yourself for the press using this as another branch with which to whip the show.

The thing is, people will watch the main show for the performances and then go out socially knowing that they will hear/see the results in newspapers and on tv the next day anyway (unless they are obsessed like me lol)

I'm not that everyone realised the results were to be shown live later on the same night as it was the first time this had been done last year. The previous year the Sunday show was shown earlier in the evening so the semi-final results could be shown before the BBC Sports Personality awards show on the Sunday. Last year the SCD results were on later so the semi final results were shown on the Saturday.

It did amuse me that it had taken the press this long to find out information that had been on the BBC website since before the start of this series.
