Are the celebs and pros going to be dancing tonight?
I'm sure Claudia said something about them all being on and Alesha has just told Ricky to go and practice. |

The Strictly Pro dance is the only good thing on the show tonight imo. Well to be fair it's the only thing I've watched, I saw the line-up and it looks a bit rubbish. :/

Watched Alesha and the Strictly dancers, which we thought were great, but switched over to see Corrie and I'm a Celebrity - more fun to watch!

Great set with Alesha and the dancers but my favourite has been the newsreaders Vs Diversity. Brilliant
![]() Those newsreaders steal the show every year imo! |

If "Wigon" suggested he wasn't aware of the nearly £10,000 each year he was paid for over two decades he'd have had viewers "laughing in the aisles" if that's what he said.
Every year it would have had to be on his tax return which he would have signed. This the man who bought acres of forests in Scotland in the days when it was a lucrative tax dodge. I bet he knows about every penny he's ever received. The only comment I'm aware that he made was "I didn't ask to be paid." This I suppose was to conjure up visions of BBC "suits" stuffing money into his pockets. Having been found out (I think it was a Freedom of Information Request) he certainly didn't offer to pay back the money. What was it, for 26 years? This the man who pleaded with viewers earning a fraction of his pay (which he bleated was too low for his radio programme) to give money to CIN year after year. He was the only one who got paid. The man's a hypocrite. Terry also donates money to the charity and items for auction. |

Made it to the end *Fatigue smiley*
Set pieces were the highlight as usual - "Priscilla" and "Jersey Boys" stole the show for me. The Scottish only sections were far superior to previous years I thought and included Danny McGaskill (he of the stunt mountain bike fame on youtube) who has become quite a celebrity now and just back from Las Vegas. Nicky Campbell was surprisingly good as co-presenter with Jackie Bird - highlights for me were the 'Blues Brothers' numbers. Alesha was backstage most of the time but provided the energy in the presenting - told Ricky W to get rehearsing for Strictly tonight ![]() Tess I felt was trying to upstage Terry and he was having none of it! ![]() Spandau Ballet were better than on SCD and Tess went all starstruck over Tony Hadley There will be loads I didn't see from Television Centre with being North of the Border though

Don't watch but raised money at work. Very grateful to Children in Need several years ago when their grant kept my daughters play group going through a very bad time. It allowed us to up grade the room, provide better vacilities and most important to the children lots of new toys. The group's still going now. I love Pudsey it's official!

Just watched it what a shame the camera man seemed fixated on Alesha I wanted to see more of the dancers not that silly bit of frippery stuck on her head. At least she's proved my other half wrong when he said she'd look good in a bin liner because that outfit was not a good look!

I'm sick to death of Children In Need.
Why can't the BBC choose an alternative for once or, let viewers choose their own charities to whom they wish to contribute? There's only so much money people are willing to contribute to charities and many worthwhile ones consider this and "Red Nose Day" have affected contributions. But they are big "ratings winners" for the BBC so will continue to be hyped up by them at every opportunity. Quote:

Got stuck watching BBC NI - utter crap as usual. They showed the Strictly pro dancers thankfully, but that was about it.

The money comes from the BBC, not from Children In Need so I really don't see what the problem is.
Terry also donates money to the charity and items for auction. Items? Yes a tie! He really had to dig deep for that one, didn't he? |

I'm smiling over this pm I've just received.
I think you should seek mental help, your family must hate you. Pehaps it would be best if you ended your own life now. I won't reveal the young lady's name as she's only made about a dozen posts so she's probably is unaware of proper board etiquette. It's considered OK to disagree with someone's views but it's best not to try to enforce your own by getting "personal," it tends to de-value your view. Resorting to pms, to do this is in my opinion rather childish. Most can separate "post from poster." Some don't even know what that means and in the past others have said it is impossible (for them, presumably). |
