A German band called Polarkreis 18 released a song last year called Allein Allein - a mix of German & English. Really catchy!

Hmm well they're evidently not all that popular!

For what it's worth I can't get better than Desireless's classic Voyage Voyage from 1987, and also its follow-up John (which sadly went unknown in the UK).

IMO she looks like an older (and somewhat more easy on the eye and ear) John & Edward...

A lot of the stuff I like isn't in English.... Violetta just wouldn't sound the same

Two of my favourite lighter tunes are...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZC8v5_wQHGA

(English Translation)

Little star of the distant sky,
you see my pain,
you know my anguish.
Come down and tell me
if he loves me a little,
because I cannot live without his love.

You are my star, my beacon of love!
You know that soon I shall die.
Come down and tell me
if he loves me a little,
because I cannot live without his love

And one of the most famous of all... From Norma

And THAT is how to sing live - she even has the choir, just like X- Factor
