Go Mad .... then you suddenly have friends!
Has anyone noticed in soaps (especially EE) if someone becomes upset/gets drunk/goes mental someone will try to be their friend. For example someone like Pauline, Dot, Pat or Ian! Then they interfere and keep pushing the person to find out whats wrong and making out that they are a good friend!

are they trying to make Ian likeable? He helped Alfie and Kat, and now he's 'helping' Kate.. are we supposed to consider this him turning over a new leaf?
