Les,

I have uploaded the driver files to rapidshare here :
http://rapidshare.com/files/31157011...river.rar.html

I installed using device manager and selecting the file rather than letting windows mess it up, link for the cable from ebay is here just for reference :

Let me know how you get on

Cheers

Well after my box going mad and waking me up in the early hours of this morning, I have the update. I thought I had set something to record and it had just froze so turned it off . Kept turning it off and back on when I got home from work, I'm probably lucky the update actually worked.

So is this just bug fixes? Maybe it's just me but I haven't had any major bugs on my box at all and I've had it over a year. Very impressed with the equipment actually!!

Yes, rumour suggests a new update may appear soon.

Thanks Simon,

It certainly is a popular download!! Too many downloaders at the moment, and I'm not signing up to the Premium package, I'll try later.

Rgds.

My Humax got over air updated software yesterday never had any lockups at all before. But find that new retune popup so annoying did they really need to do that!

Just updated mine via MuxB, channel 33 on Waltham transmitter, everything OK but for the dreaded popup asking you to do a retune. Tuned my channels in manually to avoid getting duplicate programs from another transmitter but if you let the box do an auto retune does it get rid of the popup? Would doing an auto retune with the aerial lead disconnected , then do a manual retune do the trick?

A relatives 9150T updated itself automatically last night. I phoned to guide them through a manual update and found that the software version was already correct and they had a message on screen this morning!.

Winter Hill- Lancaster relay. The box was tuned into all muxes via auto tune so it must have auto scan the old and near empty mux B ch67 during its overnight check. So the 9300 hopefully will do the same ! Strange as I always thought auto update was just set to check one mux.

Winter Hill transmitter - was manually tuned excluding MuxB - no channels in the 800s.

I have never seen the infamous pop-up.”

Could it be that the pop-up only comes in with the OTA download??? Is there anybody getting the pop-up that installed the software via computer?

I doubt the pop-up has anything to do with the method of tuning.

No, at the start of this thread people were complaining about it, and that was before the OTA update was available.

I've downloaded the 1.00.17 software so will try flashing my mothers humax as she has frequently complained about lockups. However if the popup thing is really annoying and she fancies downgrading it again does anybody have a link to the 1.00.14 version? The humax site doesn't appear to have any links that are obvious to get previous versions.

I might have it on my computer at work, I'll check tomorrow.

After doing a ota update yesterday on my sons 9150t popup didnt appear untill i did the default settings recommended by humax no channels in 800s.
i think any body who says they are not getting popup didnt do a default setting,i was first to complain about this popup when i updated my 9150t with my laptop.

Quite correct in my case. Didn't reset defaults to avoid losing recording schedule.

I understand that the software update for the 9300 should be OTA on MuxB tomorrow (Thurs 26/11) approx 10/11 a.m.

Same caveats about some post-DSO regions that don't carry MuxB.

Rgds.

Hi Les,

Presumably the 9150 software will continue to be transmitted until 9am Thursday and then the 9300 software from 10am???

Hi Les,

That is how it usually works on the DTG schedule, but this special MuxB is a new one on me, but like you, I'd guess at yes. Also, it was a bit unspecific about the 10/11am time.

Rgds.

That should not be relevant for a manual over the air download. It is the software that is being broadcast on MUX B and the Humax does not need to have any programme channels tuned into it from that MUX to download the software.

For the Lancaster transmitter MUX B is on UHF channel 32 until 2nd December.
If you are trying to action a manual software download from Lancaster enter ‘32’ into the manual download menu.

Menu -> Installation -> Software Update -> Manual Update -> select 32 -> Search
Default PIN is 0000

(Winter Hill MUX B is currently on 67, but I guess a lot of us know that off by heart now!)

Quick question regarding this (am new here so apologies if asked already)

I'm getting a 9150 for xmas but it's already been bought and is being delivered to my folks house in the very near future, does this mean I won't be able to get the latest update OTA?

(have a rubbish internet connection and old laptop so not sure how easy it'll be to get the update via the net)

So is the 9150 update going to be replaced by the 9300 or simulcast?

Is the 9300 update on now anyone?
