Morning to you too Graham, slept in?

Hmm...... that's an odd one.

Were all these recordings on 108 BBC HD?

I didn't record the Eggheads prog, my CINpt1 BBC HD recording was from 18:59-22:01. So, started early.

I'm guessing, that if they all were Ch108, then you got some sort of runaway on Eggheads, maybe they didn't update the running status flag, and then your 19:00 Ch108 recording failed because it was already recording Ch108?

Hi I had an issue yesterday when I had scheduled to record Top Gear. This was set to record in HD. However Come Dine with Me was also scheduled and was slightly late finishing. a clash came up and I noticed it was trying to record both HD and SD versions of Top Gear. So I canceled the SD version and got a 0 min file. Come Dine with Me finished shortly after so all that was recording was Top Gear in HD. However it would not allow me to change to another channel till I deleted the 0 min files that was caused by tring to record the SD version of Top Gear. It looked like it had locked out the second tuner. When I deleted the file I could change to any channel. Strange

Now that is an odd one.

How had you set up the original TG recording, from BBC2 and accept the AI prompt, or directly from BBC HD?

I was recording those two programmes OK, I set up my TG directly from the BBC HD Channel.

The file should have no bearing whatsoever on the tuner. Despite you cancelling the SD recording, are you sure it didn't start it again when CDWM finished? It will often recover a timer after a clash in this way.

Can't remember if I set it up from the 108 or 102 then given the choice ! Must look out

Just in case it was something like that I will try to just record from 102 then pick HD and see if that is any better.

Or so I thought. Just set it up for next week went to 102 next Sun 9:00 selected record the series but was given no prompt to select HD or SD

Actually, I would suggest setting up from 108, not 102 and choosing HD. The reason I was asking is I was wondering if setting up from 102 may have triggered the BBC "Regional Issue" and scheduled an additional recording from one of the other channels.

As you have found this week, the BBC have totally cocked up the Prog CRIDs on all SD/HD programmes, so you are not offered the HD Alternate. There's another thread on this - I've sent in my complaint

Rgds.

I'm in the London region so trying to record from BBC1 London, but it will only let me record from either Scotland or Wales.

I have set my Postcode etc

Other programs have not been affected

Is this a known issue ?”

I overcome this multiple region conflict by deleting all of the Regional stations located high in the list (900s?), as the main BBC1 on 101 is my BBC NE & C region anyway, as dictated probably by my postcode used.

This is one (drastic) option, that you shouldn't have to do if the BBC get their act together; it cuts down on your recording clash avoidance strategy. BBC NI & CI are particularly useful.
