It features cartoon characters through the years with all the original voices and all singing a fantastic medley.

Forget X Factor, download the Children In Need single. Let's get it to Number 1.

Reading posts on this website, there are some very sad, humourless and downright miserable people who hate everything about this song. I think it's clever, funny, different and it is for a very good cause.

Correct there are. It is really clever. I never buy singles certainly least of all charity singles, but this one I'll be buying the DVD version so i can watch it over again, because I am sure there are bits you'll keep spotting.
it's very very clever and certainly better than anything Lady GaGa or JLS can churn out.

Certainly better than anything from the Cowell factory.

Agreed it's really different and what a memorable way to round off the decade, with a single for a good cause.

Just because something took two years to make - doesn't automatically qualify it as being good.

I appreciate that it's for a good cause, and there's an element of nostalgia for many people in the video, which is what will make it do well - even though I have no desire to see it again - but the song is a little bit of a mess.

I think it would have been better had they stuck with one song.

I can't see the song doing so well tbh, but if they're selling the video then I'd buy it. I saw it earlier of channel five - its fab!

That's exactly what's happening, it's being sold as a DVD. I actually agree that the video is awesome and must have been a nightmare to put together but the song's not all that.

I love this video, both nostalgically and artistically ... not hard to imagine the nightmare the animators must've gone through to do this!

I enjoy the music purely for listening out for those little cameos, like Neil Morrisey, Ringo Starr, Jane Horrocks and Bernard Cribbins. Its clever how they cemented Hey Jude and Elbow's song together at the end.

The video is good, but the song itself is just awful and dire. I and others, don't have to like a song just because of who sings it, the fact it supports a good cause or whatever. To say we are humourless just because we don't like it is rather childish.

I’m the opposite. I like the song, but couldn’t give too hoots for the video - even if I appreciate it was a long time in the making.
