Courses or other ways to learn about music production
Hi everyone;
I'm a keen keyboard player; and mess around creating my own tracks with my collection of (mostly Korg) instruments; all midi'd up to Cubase. However, everything I do just sounds flat. It's nothing to do with bass or trebble levels; and i've tried meddling with reverb, but nothing makes my music sound anything like a professionally produced dance track - even a rubbish one! Any tips on what to look for course wise (and where might do such a course) or other ways to learn this sort of thing? Thanks! |

I do something similar to you but i am hesitant to send anything out because it is all done at home and put me in an actual studio and i wouldn't know what to do. My stuff doesn't sound as good as i would like but maybe my mixing isn't good?

There are programs that make the mastering process a lot easier- Platinum Notes for example, that may help.
