I actually like Brucie on this show! Sometimes he irritates me (mainly when he sings, but also when he had a go at Craig RH when he likened Jo Wood to a kangaroo).
I certainly can't imagine Tess being front of house permanently. Much preferred Brucie. So I'm glad he's back. Last edited by bunnykin : 20-11-2009 at 21:08. Reason: typo |

I'm so happy Brucie is well enough to resume his job. I hope when I'm anywhere near his age that I have the energy, silly sense of humour and twinkle in my eye as he has. Brucie's great!!!
So Petard you didn't get far with your anti-Brucie thread yesterday so decided to try again today I see. |

Can't stand the man. He gets in the way of the natural flow of the show. It was so much faster without him, and it was actually about dancing.

Bruce has been appearing on my telly since Sunday Night at the London Palladium in 1958, when I was 5 years old...
...surely I'm due a respite. ![]()

I am secretly hoping that the ratings this week will nose-dive to an all time low for BBC. Then compared with last week's highest SCD ratings the producers will finally work out who's to blame.

Surely you can't detest an old trouper that much? gosh! What is the problem?![]() Brucie has signed up for the full series, so I'm afraid there is nothing any amount of negativity against him can achieve, except to make his fans love him even more. |

I just find that Bruce's parts of the show are the weakest link - and despite the horrific car crash that last Sat's show was, I actually much preferred the format without him. |

I'm delighted he's back. Last week's show was okay, but I suspect that's because I knew it was just for one week and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Wouldn't like to put up with Tess hosting it all the time though, and try as I might I still haven't thought of a suitable replacement.
So, welcome back Brucie! |

An embarrassment to whom exactly - ageists? I am proud that Brucie's British. However, our lager louts abroad, lager louts at home, Jordan, some BB contestants, russell brand, jonathan ross etc ....now we're talking embarrassment.

An embarrassment to himself.
The old saying: Quit while you're ahead. This way he is in danger of being remembered as a dis-arse-ter. Not the entertainer he once was. |

Delighted Bruce is back. I enjoy him hosting the show. I'm certainly not ageist. This is one aspect I like - that everyone from their teens/twenties to their eighties are part of the show.

So pleased he will be back tonight, last week suffered because of his absence, get rid of Tess and put Claudia in her place now you are talking!
