Maybe only in Scotland.....but how fab was Gray O'Brien singing on Children in Need. The highlight of the evening.

I don't know what it is but I just can't watch people who are on T.V sing or dance, it just makes me all embarrassed for some reason.

But what did he sing?

He was quite good actually, better than I was expecting!
Always good to get the Chicago audition in as well, he might be in with a chance of Billy Flynn!

No question that the Chicago people won't have heard about this and will snap him up. The performance was superb and I would rate it a racing certainty that Grey will be playing Billy Flynn in the West End before the end of 2010.

He was really good but I just went bright red and was trying to hide it and cover my ears because it was really embarrassing me for some reason. I guess I just can't listen to Dad's sing or perhaps it's the reason I gave above but something that did annoy me was when the woman said that he was making his singing début, that really annoyed me because if you're an actor, stay an actor and don't become a musician just because you sound pretty decent in the shower<<Brandon Flowers lead singer of The Killers says the same! No offence to Gray O'Brien though.

Am surprised that more didn't see this and pass comment. I honestly thought he was fab and made the CiN evening for me. Corrie producers would be mad to lose him.

I just saw this performance and I agree, it was very good. I was thinking to myself what was going to be next for him after Corrie (apart from the pantomime obviously) and thought it must be theatre or a musical somewhere along the line.

After his singing the other night I would say it was likely! This is the first time I've heard him sing actually as I'm sure it is for everyone else although I think a while back this year there was a charity event in Manchester somewhere where a few Corrie stars were there singing as well as well as Gray and I do believe he sang well then too.

Well good luck to him anyway, I'm sure someone will have noticed and be thinking of him for a part already!

By the way I can't believe this man is single (assuming he still is)-he seems to have absolutely everything going for him, sings, acts well, nice looking, seems like a nice chap, I'm sure someone will have him down the aisle again before too much longer surely!

Absolutely, perfect for the part, unlike some who seem to have just got the part for being a (hasbeen) name.

I'm not sure if the part requires singing or not, but he's playing the part of Evil Abanazar in Manchester Opera House's Aladdin pantomime this year.

It's a while since I went to a panto, but they usually do comedy songs in them don't they?
