Sadly the Baggies look on course for automatic promtion after my team , Forest, crashed again yesterday. Still a few games to go though, so we live and hope.

There is plenty of time for either team to mess up or go on a good run.

The team from the Northeast are certainly not safe

There could be developments this week. Forest and that other team have two home games, Forest's against teams pushing for promotion , and West Brom two tricky looking away games.

Looking at the table, I am puzzled by Derby County's position. They seem to have won all their recent games ,but are still in deep sh*t, in effect, one point off a relegation place. Some team is going to be vey unlucky to go down.

The Baggies tend to have tricky home games as their away form has been excellent.

To be honest, When Forest walloped them a few weeks ago, I wrote them off.

Another Baggie here, EB stands for Exiled Baggie a moniker I've used on the net for years now. Another season of non stop excitement for us Baggies I think just one year where we go for midtable safety (preferably in the Prem) where we dont need the pills or oxygen would be a bonus right now.

How ironic that I should mention the West Brom full back in another thread as a potential Sports Personality of the Year,

The guy had a complete 'mare. Is Maddocks his name ? and how is he rated by Baggies fans ( before yesterday)

Not really having the impact we expected. Yesterday he was absolutely shocking, couldnt do anything with the ball, and rarely put himself out to reach any long passes.

I'd like to see how he copes up front, but we're playing 4-5-1 at the moment, so he's stuck out on the wing. Once Thomas is back I'd be surprised to see him start.

I was amused to find out a few weeks ago that the characters in the New Tricks TV programmes were named after part of the Hawthorns. The writer was a Baggies fan.

They are Jack Halford, Brian Lane and Gerry Standing

With the exit of The Baggies that just leaves Chelsea out of the Big 5 still in the FA cup

There used to be a Forest supporter who wrote for Coronation Street. Hence the names:

Brian Tilsley Ida Clough and Standley Ogden

Were they a threesome

Good win today but Chris had to take the brunt of the scoring

I'm quite surprised, I knew Forest would falter at some point.

Newcastle have surpassed expectations, I think everyone was expecting them to bomb this season.

They also seem to be winning when not playing great football, which is key and well, they do have a better side.

Overall, the table isn't lying, WBA and Newcastle are far and away the best 2 sides

The Baggies open up a 5 point lead without playing well

Actually it's worth 6 points thanks to a far better goal difference

A good win by the Baggies and I am starting to be a bit confident that this time next year we will be fighting hard against relegation.

So do you think you'll win it or come up 2nd?

Forest's apparant implosion is aiding the top 2
