How come this year there will be no new version of Do They Know It's Christmas 25 years after it was first released by Live Aid.

Because they did it for the 20th Anniversary, and I'm sure even Sir Bob knows when enough's enough.

Because the last two versions have been really dire. The original is still the best and the one out of the three that still gets the most airplay.

I cant believe the 25th anniversary isnt being marked. I had a really good idea for the 25th anniversary which i actually posted on here months ago. To reunite the original 1984 line up for a new recording. Most of the singers on the original are still performing now or have since reformed. Could they have got George Michael, paul Young, Boy Geroge, Simon Le Bon etc to reunite. Im sure it would have worked. But only artists on the original 1984 recording would be allowed to take part. Oh well its just an idea!

If it would be exactly the same artists, what would be the point in another recording?
