I bet his top lines don't get mentioned! His leg lines also aren't straight.

I disagree with Alesha, I wouldn't. Not by him anyway.

A 10 from alesha doesn't mean as much as a 10 from the other judges in my eyes. Especially for ricky, as like you said she's biased!

It was lovely in parts but I was soooooo bored with it and I agree with Len stunning lift but out of context with the tempo of the dance.

Not particularly a Ricky fan, but I did actually enjoy that dance.

I wouldn't have given it 10, but overall the score was about right, I thought, because Len's balanced it out.

It was a lovely dance completely spoiled by the inappropriate lift, thats a showdance lift or a gimmick lift (Kenny did it to Ola too) it wasnt needed and they might have scored higher if they hadnt put it in.

I dont care anyway I didnt want them to beat Gethin's American Smooth record.

I thought it was very unfair of Len to only give an 8 just because he didn't like the lift. Particularly when you compare it to the way he marked the other dances.

I get really pissed off when the judges mark down for choreography and Len is particularly bad for this. He's supposed to be judging the celeb's performance, not having a dig at the pros .... bloody demented old dinosaur

I have to agree with Len, the lift didnt fit into the dance. I liked the beginning and that is about it. I have to admit that the whole thing bored me - it could have been so much more

I thought Len made a very valid point re "the lift" - when it comes to Ballroom Len does know what he is talking about. Unfortunately Alesha Dixon doesn't - she is the girl who studied dancing for three months, two years ago - and she thinks she knows everything. We all know Ricky Whittle is her favourite now her bezzie mate Zoe Lucker has gone - she is so transparent. Her next target is the lovely Chris but, unfortunately for her, he is very, very popular. I thought Chris and Ola's dance was beautiful and I couldn't see where she was coming from - but then am I surprised. No, of course I'm not. She is a complete amateur and so out of her depth she is drowning in her own ignorance.

Exactly! And Ricky performed it perfectly so shouldn't have been penalised. I'm not a particular fan of Ricky's but don't like unfair judging.

I never got this bit when the choreography is not good the judges say that wasn't your best dance, or they wasn't enough content in it. That's not the celeb's fault it's the pro dancers.

I didn't like Ricky and Natalie's dance tonight. I thought the lift did not fit in with the rest of the dance and it was over marked.

I agree with all this

I wonder if it's because we've had 7/10 (Rhumba + Waltz excl.) R&N dances danced at double time that tonight just seemed odd?
Foxtrot Smooth did not suit them at all - and Foxtrot is the only Ballroom they have left for the Q/S final.

But everything about rickys judging is unfair. He usually gets marked extremely highly, despite his mistakes.

Well that's something I'm never quite sure about. If someone does a complex dance which is danced well but they make a few mistakes, should it score more or less than someone who does an accurate very simple routine with less overall style.

I can see where you're coming from, but
I still think mistakes should be reflected in the scores.

Probably to keep him out of the bottom two! I thought the 10 was overmarked, and I wouldn't be surprised if it does come out later that rather than there being a new romance with his dance partner (as has been discussed) it is actually with someone else on the show.....

Craig, love him or hate him, always says that 10's should only be given for 'perfect' routines. Ricky Whittle did not give a' perfect' performance, the judges reflected this in their marks with the exception of Alesha who is fast turning into his biggest fan.
Does she have a mobile phone on speed dial under the desk I wonder ?
