Was in my local store tonight and from Monday you can buy it with 4 films (not old ones either!) for £149.99

As Amazon are selling it for £138 without any films, I thought this was a good deal, put my deposit down!

Lol, it is a national deal, on their website too. Films are Night at the Museum 2, Terminator Salvation, Slumdog Millionaire and Angels & Demons

I can't see where it says you get one film. In any case, the Blockbuster deal still works out on an overall saving to Amazon if you want those films.

I only posted it because it's not often you see a deal better in a shop than online.

Night At The Museum 2 is not included in the box with the others though. Probably have to send off for it.

Not sure, I will find out tomorrow. I did check because I asked if it was definitely 4 as the box showed 3 but their poster 4

Off topic a bit but I was amazed to see a Philips blu ray player in Sainsbury's for £97 yesterday... no doubt it's a plasticy piece of equipment (Philips still love their use of white mechanism plastic I assume!?)

Still, we now have branded Blu ray players for under £100 (or branded rebadged perhaps) but looks like Blu Ray might be the big, more affordable thing to have this Christmas?

blu rays appear to have dropped in price recently

i have seen lots of reasonable makes recently around the £100 mark - asda/hmv/blockbusters/richers etc

personally i think the PS3 dropping in price has helped push blu ray player prices down.

i must say i am reluctant to pay over £10 for a disc though. although i love the picyure in picture commentaries

I noticed the prices coming down too, I'm sure DVD players took longer to come down to this level (though my memory is a bit hazy!)

Its on the page with the BR player, you tick a film, there are hundreds to choose from, lots of ones that are not even released yet as well.

The deal is only on until midnight.

Can the Sony BDPS360 Profile 2.0 player be changed to play multi region BLU RAY? I know some offer it as multiregion but just with the DVDs.

I'm looking for one that plays both multi region dvds and blu ray, but are most of these still in the £300 or so price range.

Cheers.

Multi Region change on bluray players for BD discs requires hardware modes (chipping).

Is it avaliable as multi region blu ray, if it's avaliable all done. Someone once put a link up to players already ready to play other region coded blu ray but they were in the £300 range at the time.
