I am begging the beeb that if they have to have a 2 person marathon final, then please let only the audience decide the final 2 and not have a dance off.

And have Natalie & Vincent win?

Agreeed,
Its so predictable we'll get Ali V ricky if its down to the judges.
However i think Chris might be topping the votes so id like to see him there.

I don't think it's right if Chris and Ola lose out because of judges scores.

I don't like the DO...but as it's there in the 'rules' they should use it to save RickyW and Ali if at all possible.

They're so far ahead that any other final would be seriously sub-standard.

I'd prefer them to lift the glitter ball than Ricky W and dull Ali.

The judges never get the winner that they want. I doubt if it will be an Ali vs Ricky final. My guess is that Chris and Ola will be there. Natalie and Vincent's vote also seems to be holding up.

I have to disagree there, Sid. They should have gone tonight. I think the final will be Chris & Ola versus either Ricky & Natalie or Ali & Brian. Chris is a reasonably good dancer with an appealing personality. Not that I think the other two are dull. Like Len, I don't think Ricky's lift was in keeping with the rest of the dance but it was a crowd pleaser.

Yes but if you want audience participation and want them to pay for that participation with votes, then you have to at least have a chance to have the most popular (audience wise) person in the final and that is me assuming that Dull Ali and Dull Ricky are not the most popular.

If they are then OK, I can live with that, but if not then just have it as a dance contest.

Out of the 3 best dancers I would have gone for Jade as she had sparkle and personality. But now she is not there it is Cola all the way

If it is a two couple final, the most popular celeb could still go out in a dance off so it may not matter where the votes are going. If Chris and Natalie's votes hold up in the next couple of weeks, the dance off results could give the judges some useful information for a three couple semi too...

Not when there are two people so clearly ahead. It might be acceptable when there are two behind who are near because someone who could dance well would still win. A very good dancer with a story v excellent dancer without one also makes a good choice. Its plain pointless though if two not very good people or someone fair and someone clearly not as good end up in the final whilst the 4 better dancers on the series are not there. Might as well ask them to smile and tell a joke in week one. Nat has a bit of a journey story but with backwards legs and she's rarely hit second gear , Chris has been going in circles from and back to his garage with Ola as the desperate driving instructor trying to get him to go somewhere.

Next week should sort it all out because Ali and Ricky W just have to do something entertaining or lose.

I'd be more than happy to see Team Cola upset the odds as well. I adore them.

But I wouldn't say Chris' Latin has been any better than Natalie or Laila's.

There are several reasons why a 2 person final is a bad idea:

1) It is a marathon and it really does not showcase the best of the series: Ramps vs Dawson would have been better to watch if Bunton/ Lytton were there and the sames with Alesha's final if Gethin had joined the party. It probably would not have changed the winner in either of these series but it would have made it more enjoyable.

2) If the GBP are to vote and pay for this priviledge then the most popular person should at least be allowed into the final, otherwise it should be a straight dance comp.

3) 2 folk in the final with 5 judges really means that you get more chat from judges and is really unbalanced IMO

Ali and Natalie C are the only celebs doing the tour so it's fair to assume one or both will make the final. It can't be a coincidence that at least one of the finalists is always a tourer!

Were you not all listening Len said that ONLY Ricky W and Ali should be in the final because they are SO much better than all the others (except poor Jade who could have been there too apparantly) so we must be good children and obey the oracle of dance and ensure that we have the best final you could possibly have by ensuring the very best dancers get to the final and no one else.

I must not vote for Chris and Ola
I must not vote for Chris and Ola
I must not vote for Chris and Ola

No it doesnt work sorry Len the public WILL have their say.

I agree with your points but, sadly, it doesn't look as though (for the third year in a row) that the BBC has learned from experience. Still, I live in hope.

Can't bear the thought of a Ricky V Ali final, how incredibly dull would that be

Put it this way, it would look pretty odd to have a tour with no finalist in it.

She's only gone back to Eastenders temporarily, so I imagine she'll be free for the tour.

Oh I see!

I've got back into Eastenders again and am glad Sonia's return will be short-lived. I couldn't stand that character.

Love Natalie though

Jade & Ian have gone. Now I'm going to dial until there's steam coming out of my ears voting for the wee little hobbits.
