What's the story with Joe??
I just don't see it? I'm not 100% on lots of the finalists this year but with all of them I can at least see something. Joe is just a crooner like the Leon types we've had in the past. The show is called "The X Factor" not "The Wedding Crooner". He's the type you see at every other wedding. And what's with giving him the last place slot so often??

Actually he is singing that quite nicely, but I don't like his teeth.

He reminds me of Leon a couple of years back. Croons them out but has no personality!! And defintely doesn't have any kind of X Factor!

I thought Olly was finishing the show and then they announced Joe was coming on...on Queen week he should've done The Invisible Man...

He's Joe. He sings songs, usually in tune. The end.

If I have to listen to a soddin' X-Factor Christmas single ad nauseum on the radio in a few weeks' time, I'd rather it was someone who could sing (Joe) than someone with 'personality' (ummmm, that would be Olly????)
Don't mind if Stacey wins though. |

He's boring. Not a winner imo, I forget who he is every week.

There is no comparison between Joe and Leon Jackson.
Unlike Leon, Joe sings everything that's thrown at him seemingly effortlessly, in tune throughout, without looking nervous and uncomfortable on stage. He has a warm, engaging personality and is always cheerful, whereas Leon seemed to be permanently dour, miserable and self-pitying. If judging on singing ability, Joe is the clear winner. But I do agree that he doesn't have a typical 'pop' voice, and it might be difficult to find the right material for him. I seem to remember people having the same concerns about Will on Pop Idol

I'm actually starting to look forward to Joe more than any of them now. At least you know you are going to get a decent vocal
![]() I don't get all this dull stuff. Do people mean that he hasn't had any sensational headlines or no obvious sob story - personally I find that a relief! |

Oh for goodness sake - do people actually have ears?! Joe was the only one who sang in tune tonight yet people still slate him - when I listen to a record I want the singer to be singing in tune please - he has a lovely soft caring fun personality - you vote for someone who cannot sing if you want I know where my vote is going

I think he's being pimped and praised so much that people are starting to actually believe it!! And yep I think he's going no where if he wins, which is quite possible, because cutesy male artists (with relatively good voices) only do well on these types of shows but not in the actual music industry - I think you have to have a "cool" edge to you if you're male which Joe quite obviously lacks.

The praise he got tonight was totally deserved. |

I thought Joe was the best performer tonight by miles (even if it was an Elton John song
)He has a great voice, but for me, he would be better suited to musical theatre than to a career in pop. He seems to be popular though. |

The story is that now he's toned down the vibrato, he is the best singer left in the competition by a mile.
Absolutely nothing like Leon Jackson who could better be compared to LLoyd in terms of ability. |

Joe is a much better singer than Olly or Stacey but he is much too quiet and unless he starts being more outgoing he is going to lose out. Unfortuantley the show seems to be a popularity contest rather than based on singing cos the best singers on this show are Joe and Danyl but Olly and Stacey are much more popular with the public. Olly was so out of tune tonight but yet again he is the one getting the praise and Joe is pushed into the background when it was Joe who gave the outstanding performance of the night.

Joe is simply a very good singer - as said before, you can guarantee something in tune with Joe. He could certainly have more stage presence given a bit of time - isn't he just 18 or so? He seems a decent lad.
Stacey can be very good, but she's variable; that said, she already has a personality that has attracted many. Quite a good combination. As for the rest... I'm not overly impressed, really. |

Michael Ball did musical theatre and loads of covers albums and live shows - and how many millions of albums has he sold now? Joe looks good, can sing just about anything, and stage presence will come. He should be around for a long time. |
