Great shame that Jade had to pull out as she was the only contender to challenge the Ali, Ricky dominance of this years SCD and as a result tonight's competition was a bit flat.

I suppose it depends now out of the other couples who is more popular with the viewers.

It was hardly effervescent when she was in the competition...so I think that's revisionist frankly.

I don't care who wins now. I am having a bad TV week what with Jade going, I'm a Celeb just being awful and The Restaurant turning into Carry On Kitchen.

I enjoyed Jade's journey, her relationship with Ian and she was one of the only two who could do both Latin And ballroom.

It's a great shame she's gone, i don't really care now.

I so agree not to mention the total ruination of Watchdog this series.

I'm inclined to agree with the OP. There was a six point gap between 2nd & 3rd place on the judges leader board tonight. Neither of the front runners particularly inspire me tbh. Jade and Ian as a couple were exciting and exotic, and it'll certainly be less colourful without them.

With Tuffers going last week, and Jade having to pull out, that only really leaves Chris to possibly have a Goughie moment towards the end and suddenly 'get it'. I'm also naturally upset at my fave pro having the best chance of winning since Zoe Ball, only for it to be cruelly snatched away. Oh, and another thing. I had truly warmed to Jade. I think she represented a double first by not only being a tall girl who could do latin, but also a female sports person who was actually popular!

oh I do agree....The Restaurant is just weird this series.

Jade was (for me) a good compromise between the good but dull dancers that are Ali and Ricky W and the less good but sparkling personalits that are Chris and Ola she had a bit of both so I am sorry she is gone.

It's like you're inside my head and typing out my thoughts Star!

I usually love watching The Restaurant. But they've ruined it.

And the arrival of Katie Price has wrecked what was lining up to be a cracking series of I'm A Celeb. I'm watching her embark on yet another trial now - cue the hystrionics

SCD has completely lost it's sparkle for me.

Jade brought everything I look for to the table; she didn't immediately wow the audience, but it was clear from the start that the characteristics we associate with a top athlete were there in spades; steel, determination and the quest for perfection.

I really don't care who wins now.

All of that, plus bursting with life. The lights well and truly went out tonight.

Sorry you lost your favourite Ignazio

I liked Jade & Ian a lot, and truly believe they had a shot at winning.

Strictly won't be the same without them.

It all went flat for me tonight I have to say, but I'm hoping it was the fact that Jade had to withdraw and that there was only one 'fun' dance in it - all slow Ballroom didn't lend itself to a fun night at all.
I'm hoping that the new dances next week will make it fizz again.

You've said it all for me Ignazio. Jade was a bag of explosive energy and infectious fun and I adored her (my long-term worship of Ian remains intact ). She really improved week on week and without her in it the spark's gone out.

I was hoping that the eliminated couple tonight would drag Jade & Ian up so they could have their last dance too... All we can do now is hope that her knee is better in time for the final and they let her do the tango in full!

I loved Jade too. She was my favourite and I'm sorry she hurt her knee and had to pull out of the competition.

The whole thing was handled very badly. A decision should have been made mid-week rather than announcing it at the beginning of tonight's show. I'm not surprised Ali was shaking when she had to dance first after that. It cast a blight on the show but there are still at least three good couples.

Very true. Its very difficult to pick up after a major downer in the beginning of a show. Don't see how the SCD producers could have done it otherwise, as their was a doubt about her taking part up to the last min. I knew when the injury happened she would not dance again, as her taking part in the Olympics has to take precedence over SCD.

Jade and Ian were my favourite couple so I'm very disappointed she had to pull out. Not that bothered who wins now - so long as it's not Natalie Cassidy!!

If you really think it was the right result and if you really think she should have gone last week - your regrets lack sincerity.

You've started more than one thread agitating for Jade to be eliminated, so your faux sympathy now reeks of hypocrisy.

Once you were amusing, even endearing; now you're nothing more than an irritation.

Whether Jade was in it or not I think this is the worst series I've seen, there's nothing light hearted in it, it's all too serious and frankly boring

Jade and Ian were really growing on me as a partnership, both in terms of dancing and personality - very sorry to see them leave. Kept hoping that tonight there might be a "hilarious" joke from Brucie and Tess after the 6 dancers walked on, introducing Jade's return to the dancefloor.

I think she could have won. Now, as others have said, we are left with good dancers (Ali and Ricky) vs good personalities (Natalie and Chris) with Anton and Laila hovering around the middle - neither one nor the other!
