I usually hate those 'not bothered now that couple X/Y/Z has gone' threads, but I'm starting to see how people can get themselves so worked up. Jade and Ian were a great blend of fun, style and class; I don't think any of the remaining pairs have more than two of those three attributes each.
And while I'm a big Team Cola fan, if Bhoy's supporting them, I'll be delighted if they don't make the final ![]() ).Anyway, I was supporting Ian and Jade (and team Cola), and I'm really sorry they have gone. I think their dances were exciting and I would have liked to see a bit more of Ian's choreography, which I always enjoyed (Quickstep with Denise, Tango and freestyle with Zoe etc.). It's a proper shame and I dont' want a 2 person finale. |

Just gutted they've had to withdraw. I was going to vote for them to win if they got to the final. Jade seems to be the only dancer this series who grew in both the Ballroom and Latin.
![]() And I love Ian.

100% gutted that Jade and Ian had to pull out. I really wanted them to win - and what an extraordinarily cruel twist of fate for Ian and his lack of tangos. I'm so glad that if she's fit we'll get to see it in the final. They were the one couple who really grabbed me - and they were really shaping up to be fantastic.
Having said that, I quite like that I don't have a favourite any more - there are some I'd rather see win than others, of course, but I don't feel anywhere near as strongly as I did when Jade was a possible winner. Now, I can watch from a more objective point of view! |

I can't stand the idea of any of the remaining couples winning this competition. I was hoping for a Jade/Ian win.

Please don't, I was afraid people might come to this conclusion after Bhoy started "Craig" substitute threads about Chris (Kent's favourite son etc.

Trust me as much as I wish I had that much infulence over people, who I want to win will have no bearing on the outcome of SCD

I thought Jade's depressed face as she sat in the audience was heartbreaking, especially after Ian left to get ready for the pro dance.
Couldn't help smiling, though, when Bruce delivered the punchlines to a couple of jokes in front of her, and her expression barely changed as she delivered two or three languid handclaps. I like her even more now. |

I kept looking for Jade, sat on the sidelines watching and I couldn't help feeling sad. Such a damn shame that fate has dealt a real blow to Jade and Ian, who I thought were cruising along at the perfect pace to see them make the final. They were the most improved, most consistent, the most striking to look at and the most able at both ballroom and latin. They were fantastic together and the show has lost some it's sunshine for me now. Roll on Christmas and their Tango, which will be my highlight of the final

My sentiments exactly. I thought Jade and Ian produced some of the most interesting dancing of the series. Best wishes to them both for the future.
I wont miss her mind form SCD |

I definately thought she was a contender. She is the only one, IMO, who seemed to get better every week. Very competent in both latin and ballroom. I did, however, feel the judges never acknowledged this and only now, when she had to sadly pull out, Len said she could have made the final.
I absolutely love Ian, he had choreographed some great routines for Jade which suited her and showed off her personality. What a shame we won't be able to see them dance again (well, hopefully in the final if she is better). She made the right choice she must think about the day job. I must admit I cried for her last week (sounds silly now saying it) and seeing her face on Saturday, so disappointed, my heart went out to her. |

I agree, they didn't get the credit they deserved. they were a stunning couple and they were improving every week, which is something that Ali certainly hasn't done.
I'ts a real shame they're gone because i believe that they would have given us some really special dances, something this series has sorely been missing. |

The thought occurs - is Jade the first person to leave the show with injury? Tarby was ill and Kelly was bereaved, and I think they're the only other two to withdraw.
I can't remember if the Vorderhorror had to quit or was voted out cos of her dodgy foot...hang on, I'll check... *visits Wiki* *comes back* No, it said she was definitely voted off. This presents us with an interesting scenario...remember this year's DOI when Michael Underwood got another go after hurting himself in the previous series? I'm guessing that Jade can now be regarded as too technically proficient to compete again on a level playing field, but wouldn't it be nice if she was allowed to do it again? |

Unlike the others good dancers she had personality and excitement, as well as being good. Strictly was so flat on Saturday without her. I missed her so much. Also on a girly point, I loved the way she loved glitter. I'm into glittery eyeshadow too these days. |

There's no way Jade would be allowed back, much as I'd like to see her. She's learnt nine of the twelve basic dances already - even her biggest fans should see that she'd have far too big an advantage. Michael Underwood was injured much earlier so it wasn't such an issue. Plus he was cr*p. |
