I agree about Erin's dress looking a bit below par - it looked so old-fashioned. Perhaps they were aiming to have a "vintage" look as a couple. Ricky's Brylcreem look seemed to be along these lines.
What has Erin done to her teeth? Is it just me or do they now look much bigger and whiter? The whole look of her face seems to have changed and she seems much older.

I was in the audience last night. We got a good look at Tess' dress, and have to say it looked as though it was run up quickly out of cheap material. Vincent's trousers were horribly cheap. I think the camera really does add 10Lb, as Natalie C doesn't look half so dumpy as she does on TV in real life.

Loving the descriptions of the ghastly horror foisted on poor Erin.

I think the dressmakers were having a bad taste contest and whoever created that horrendous purple thing won hands down.

I hate all the fringing....they always remind me of those car wash machines.

I thought all Erins dresses were designed for her by some professional dance company? I forget the name but it used to be on her website, not sure if it still is.

I saw an article last year about Tess in a Sunday newspaper magazine and I believe she is quite often loaned dresses by designers.

I don't think this is the case .
Erin has always chosen her own , and so have the other pros and the celebrities to an extent .
Many of the pro dresses are are designed in consultation with them during July and august , so that the costumiers can turn to the celebrities once they are all confirmed .

As for Vincent's trousers, they have to be man made so they don't crease ..who remembers Gethin melting the knee of his ?

It's the tail suits which are expensive .

Well at least she isn't having to pay for them...

Fringing! Where has all this fringing come from? Why did anyone think it was a good idea? It's not even as though they've bought a job lot of fringed material - they said on ITT that they were hand stitched!

I think I could have coped if they'd just used it once or twice, but they're wheeling it out week upon week now...

The costume dept have definately got a lorry load of cheap fringing this year and are determined to use it up before the end of the series.

I would say poor Erin but I am sure she has a say in what she wears. Unless it is the case that they just show her the drawing of what the dress was supposed to look like and Erin made the mistake I used to at first and thought the drawing would bear some resemblance to the actual dress.

She won't do that again!

Can I just mention the hair as well...why do they do those horrible tight curls? Some of the hairstyles this series have been Bow of hair!!!
What name??

I think someone must have thought if fringe is in then I’ll show them fringe - more is never too much. It was astoundingly bad.

I took a couple of looks at it and eventually decided it was all right. Let's face it, it wasn't even close to being the worst thing about the whole dance

The dance was awful (what was that music!!!!) but to be fair on Ricky G he was probably in shock with being that close to the dress he forgot he was supposed to be tangoing

We thought the dress was pretty awful too and described it as a wookie gone wrong

I bet they show them the illustrations they show on ITT - they are NOTHING like the finished article as seen on TV IMHO.

I am trying to find photos of it but evidence of its existence seems to have been erased. Perhaps it was a Derren Brown mass-delusion.

I'm sure that must be the truth of it. No dress that bad ever really appeared on national TV, did it?

Mimi, Erin looked a mess. I have a dog who looks like Chewie and I love him very much. I resent that comparison.
