Everything about Brucie annoyed me this evening !

Am I the only one who thinks Brucie talks far too much on this show, especially when the judges have limited time to give their opinions. I was particularly conscious tonight of how many times he interrupted them constantly. The fluffing of lines was particularly bad too this evening... one fluff after another. No matter how bad your eyesight is, surely to God he didn't need to see the word to know that BASSEY is the surname of Shirley !!! Ballet indeed !!!!

For anyone familiar with Dancing With the Stars....the US version of the show.... the two hosts, male and female of that version are superb in my opinon, they gel so well, they have just the right amount of banter to keep things going very smoothly, and none of the embarrassing jokes that Brucie does at the start of the show. Its altogether a slicker more professional production - from the hosting viewpoint.

I really do think its time to retire Brucie...and bring a fresh face to the show for next year.

I thought he was extra bad tonight.....perhaps it was because we had seen the world of SCD without him.

What was that rubbish about 'Are you actors that can dance or dancers that can act' the couples looked as bemused as me ...then he said he had just thought of it......well he shouldnt have said it.....it was jibberish.

I wish they'd fly the male host of DWTS over here with Len and Bruno - he's a consummate professional, never misses a trick and it's so relaxing watching that show, Bruce puts me on edge with his constant eff ups and naff jokes.

I so agree with you. The guy who hosts DWTS is fabulous.

He was forced to at many points in order to get them to move on - they ran very short of time at the end due to the judges arguing amongst themselves.

Tonight proved to me once again that often Bruce's unscripted off the cuff remarks are funnier than most of what's scripted for him.

I for one never mind the intentionally groan worthy jokes. Tess's stint last week was devoid of any humour and she was competent but bland. At least can we replace Brucie with someone with a bit of wit and spark of their own.

I still think Graham Norton is probably his natural successor considering the other shows of a similar vein he's done.

I totally disagree. Bruce is well past his best. He fluffs his lines, can't read the autocue, insults people with his so called humour, has to be the centre of attention and waffles for England.

I also don't want graham norton to take over. It's not that I don't like him, just that he already does so much on the BBC. They need to find someone a bit different.

I was pleased he was back - I felt all secure and at home. I think he's annoying at time, but I didn't like the show without him at all.

Good old Bruce, long may he stand and waffle a bit.
