Victim. He gets laid into by the press and Cheryl, and even people around here seem more than keen to believe the crap put out by the papers. They actually *want* him to be evil, whereas none of us actually know (or care, in my case) whether he kicks puppies to death for fun or not.

I'm happy to believe he's no more perfect or imperfect than anyone else. Amy Winehouse is a gin-soaked crackhead but I still buy her CDs.

Exactly the problem. How do you know the truth of them or not unless you are within his circle of friends, or have worked with him personally.

It's terrible to see someone being bullied the way Danyl has. Same goes for the twins but somehow it doesn't seem as personal with them.

The fact that all the judges are joining in makes it even worse. I really hope this is the last series of the X Factor.

I think anything he does is then exaggerated. He probably did get upset about song choice this week, but I doubt it was anywhere near as bad as the papers made out.

The thing is....if we take what 'they' say about Danyl, he's portrayed as a bit of a cocky, big headed, rude, spoilt playground tease monster that's difficult to manage.

The world is full of people like this....but, they don't get splattered all over the media in the way Danyl has.

Even if (and I say IF) the rumours are true about Danyl, I don't think he deserves all this stuff.

I have to laugh at his 'crime' of disagreeing with Saint Simon and changing his songs two weeks' in a row (that was one thing I read). When you think of some of Simon's song choices, you may shudder in wondering what horrors may have awaited him.

I guess if the poor guy ever auditions for anything again his song choice will change.

It will be "I'll get by with a whole load of help from my friends and some major therapy".

Agree completely. It reminds me of the horrible stuff (different stuff, allbeit) that Rachel Hylton got last year. It was relentless.

I can't say I have ever had a high opinion of Danyl as a singer or performer from the start and it's unfortunate for him that he doesn't have any likeability about him. You need that or you need to be exceptionally talented or in some way stand out.

I think his frustrations stem from him having burnt too many bridges as soon as his audition was screened in an assumption that he would never have to go back to the day job. Even on the VT last night he said "the school I used to teach at".

I don't think Danyl will need to go back to the day job as I see him getting a contract but I don't see him getting a big contract and if he gets to a stage where Sony BMG may sign him I can't see them bending over backwards to promote him, even if he were the winner.

Anyway, what struck me is that this is pretty much what someone on here said yesterday. I can't remember who it was but they said Danyl was making it hell for everyone.

I just made a point on another thread but I will say it on here to. The cameras follow the contestants about all week for the VTs used on both shows, so if Danyl is the diva we are being led to believe, why hasn't a member of the production team not accidentally leaked it??? We have all these supposed sources, why not give us true evidence instead of rumours??? I may just believe the rubbish the press come out with then!

Well both theres no smoke without fire. Danyl is definately not the nicest guy and i believe that he upset Kandy Rain and Stacey but I do not think he bullied them. Its very hard to live in a house with this many people and not upset anyone of them. If this was the case my mum bullies my sister and I bully my dad.

So in some ways he is a villian, but he is more so a victim. Simon overhyped him and made us and him think he is better than he is and he is getting a backlash cos he isnt THAT good, although he's 2rd or 3rd best this year and deserves to make final.
Then the press have crossed the line exaggerating all these so called bullying incidents, and the poor guy is being slaughtered, not sure exactly what he has done to get this much bad press.

Ugh, I think it's so unfair that Jedward are getting all these death threats etc even though they are nice lads and Danyl, the rudest nastiest man X factor has ever seen just slips away without a notice for his Cockiness.

People saying he can't be a bully cause he doesn't come across that way on the show are being very naive. Anyone who knows anything about bullies knows they tend to act sweet and charming in public or in front of the teachers (viewers) and are totally different when bullying. I think there's been too many stories from too many sources for their not to be some truth to it. You can usually tell when stories are obviously fake and I'm not sure some of these ones are. I also get the impression Cheryl knows something about what's gone on as she can't hide her intense dislike of him which seems unusual for her. She seems to HATE him, he's done something that's pissed her off.

The way Danyl has been treated in the media and most especially on here has been bullying at its very worst. It is all well and good to have a view on a person or their performance, and I had thought that Rachel had recieved a bad doing last year, but the carry on of posters and the media has been disgusting to watch and nothing to be proud of.

Victim - I don't see how him complaining at a change of song is seen as 'diva antics' and 'arrogant' but when Jamie was complaining about a song change in earlier weeks he wasn't portrayed like this.
Perhaps other things 'have happened' which I don't know about, but if i don't know about them then how am i to know that they actually happened.

But, its all a little out of hand now. I am fairly certain Danyl has faults, but who hasnt?
