I recently bought a BT Synergy 500 digital phone and answerphone. I've entered my favourites phone numbers into one handset and want to copy them to the other handsets. However, after pressing "to handset" and choosing one of the other handsets I get "please wait" for approx 30 seconds and then it returns to the original screen. None of the entries have been copied to the other handset. Same story with the other handsets.

When I try with a SIM card inserted into the base unit, I get the same outcome. I've also tried to copy the phonebook to the SIM card and tried other SIM cards I know to be working, all to no effect. It keeps telling me to insert teh SIM card - there doesn't appear to be any other way to insert it.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Solved it myself - you have to go to the other handset and accept the incoming contacts before it times out.
