Positive thread: Chat and support for all fans of all acts.

Am going to make another attempt at getting a positive thread going and keeping it going at least until after the results.

Every Sunday there are some who nervously await the results with something akin to dread and are really worried about their favourite act.

I thought it would be great to have a nice supportive thread, where we can all say what we think without any nastiness, offer comfort to those who are genuinely on the edge of their seats, and comment on all the acts in general with no fear of reprisal.

At least one set of fans is going to end up unhappy by the end of the evening. At that point, I would hope that fans of all other acts can commiserate. And I would hope that the fans of the act that goes home can help the others celebrate.

I don't see this lasting very long , but you never know.

So I say : GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE.

I would really like Danyl to get into the top 5 as he is my favourite act. I also think now though, that they all have merit to a certain degree.

So, lets be SUPPORTIVE and POSITIVE rather than negative and unhappy.

Lizzy, you're Little Miss Sunshine.

I'll kick off by wishing the best of luck to Lloyd and his fans. I don't think he's the best singer left but he really improved last night and that might take him through.

And they're playing Xmas vids on the telly so I'm in a good mood.

Ooh, what channel???

Could do with some uplifting!

I echo your luck to Lloyd fans and would extend it to John and Edward fans also.

But no-one is safe.

They told me it was the title of the thread, not the general content that made it shut down. That is why I have used a very positive thread title, so it shouldnt attract any non-constructive comments.

Your thread yesterday was great! I hope we can re-create it here, and still keep it relevant to the X Factor.

4Music at the moment, and TMF from 3 - 4.30. It keeps chucking it down here so I'm lighting candles when it gets dark and snuffing them all out again when it clears up.

Do you think the scriptwriters are setting up tim roth and his business partner to become an item?

Oh yes indeedy. I have thought that for a while. All that stuff with her husband.
It will probably turn into your atypical "will they won't they" which started in the 80's with "Moonlighting" and continues to this day in series such as "Bones".

Plus, Tim Roth is a great singer and should enter X Factor. (Ok, maybe not, but its worth a try!)

I didn't know that!

I do think all the contestants are trying their best and deserve a measure of success comensurate with their respective levels of ability as singers and performers. See, that wasn't so hard, was it?

I know, and you are as usual, very down in the dumps! Come on, chin up! Lloyd and Danyl are apparently both favourites to be bottom 2 - so we are in the same boat this week!

You know what I always say....it ain't over til its over!

So smile, be happy. At the moment both our boys are still in the running!

I already have, and I swore I would never line That Man's pockets after my one, lonely vote for Will Young.

Great thread Lizzy. The forum has been particularly negative over the last few days and I think everyone needs cheering up before the dreaded result show. (Apart from fans of Joe! )

I would like to say good luck to all the contestants and their supporters.

I thank you too, I know that must have been extremely hard for you, well done!

Thank you kindly. And LOL at the fans of Joe remark. Yes, it seems very unlikely that Joe will be in any trouble whatsoever, but don't let that stop you voting if thats what you do - it has seen acts get into trouble before!

Joe was totally amazing.

This week’s show was disappointing - we have hit a downer and I hope it can be picked up for next week - the themes are not helping.

I just don’t think the themes are working for the acts. This week was not helped being decided late in the week… not giving all the acts time to prepare etc.

I don’t understand why they don’t stick to generic themes rather than songs from a specific group or artist.

I understand the need to challenge the contestants but I think this is the part of the show that needs a rethink. I would prefer our contestants being allowed to perform songs that put them in the best possible light. If that means they stick in their comfort zone, so be it, but I would think the public would warm to someone who took risks and demonstrated diversity.

Some good points BBwoofie - I think there are quite a few people who would like to see the "themes" revamped.

Not sure how mind. Maybe not have themes, but have special guests each week as usual and the contestants can choose to do a song of theirs or not.

Have you still got your candles going, as it's nice in Herts now?

Not sure who will go tonight, it really could be anyone at this stage, as I don't think anyone is outright outstanding this year.

Joe was the best last night, and Stacey wasnt bad. I think it will be those 2 and Olly in the top 3...but you never know. Jedward will give them a run for their money I'm sure - unless they go tonight
