Does anyone else find Stacey's vocals shakey?
The girl has a nice tone, but I'm always on edge watching her sing, because it seems like her voice will crack and she'll hit a bad note...but quickly rescue herself again. And it happens all the time. Yesterday it seemed to happen several times during the song.
She can sing, but she needs some major vocal coaching. I think she must be getting a lot of votes now, because the Judges (particularly Simon) are now claiming her vocals have improved, when they haven't really. |

She sounded very shaky at the start of the song yesterday. The start of almost every note was wobbly, as if she couldn't hit the correct tone straight off and had to search for it.

She isn't consistant and they are trying to turn her into a Leona lookalike and it isn't working.
I just hope we don't get yet another female ballad singer for a winner, much as Simon seems to like them. |

Sometimes, but she is a raw talent and is still learning her craft.

Yes. She's vastly overrated.
I like her personality though.

It's not just the shakey irregular vocals, for me, even when she is on, something is just missing. I can't put my finger on it quite, but it's just not working. Anyone else know what I mean?

Most weeks she has had shaky moments, but when she is on it she sounds stunning.

TBF, they were all shaky, with the exception of Joe.
They're a shocking bunch this year, hence why Jedward are getting so many inches in the media. |

Yeah, I agree with that sentiment. Whenever she performs, I'm never fully confident that she will produce a top notch vocal minus the bum notes. Though the same can be said of any other remaining contestants, bar Joe, who's one of the most consistent I think I've ever seen on the X Factor.

It is not just her singing that is shaky
She is the most irritating person ever on the X Factor. Her stupid reactions after the judges have given their comments and her stupid gurning face pulling. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Do not get her at all - and why oh why the judges keep bigging her up is totally beyond me. |

She is shaky singing slower and singing towards the bottom of her range.
When she has a song that starts low and slow (last week and this week) she seems to struggle at the beginning. She is best with a mid range mid tempo song (like lits of folk) where her lovely tone shines through. Could be really good with a couple of years vocal coaching. |

I never realised I was watching the Nice Factor. I find her rather irritating & I believe she would be one of the most embarrassing winners of all-time if she won it. |

Yes, she is shaky Stacey, I'm afraid. She can sound really good at times but pretty off at other times.
Her vocals on the charity single sound pretty good, though. |

She's clearly getting a huge amount of votes, as Simon keeps saying she'll defintely be in the final 3. It's not intuition...Simon knows the voting figures. They have to big her up now, because she may win the show. It doesn't look good if the Judges are still criticising someone who ends up the winner, towards the end of the show (remember Sharon Osbourne and Steve Brookstein). They have to go softly-softly on Stacey now....so if she wins, they can pretend she's a flawless vocalist and the new Leona, and hope to god people buy their sales pitch

Yes, she CAN sound really good for moments, then a few seconds later she can vocally wander off.
Is that fixable with more experience? *shrug* Ask a vocal coach. But she's clearly not a naturally a great singer and needs better control. |

i think stacey has a really good voice, but all of her performances are quite wobbly in places and her voice cracks quite a lot. last night was no exception either - i did think the big note was fantastic though.

^^ This. Though I do adore Stacey. More for her personality though, she's so endearing because she's so down to earth and genuine, and doesn't try to be anyone else but herself.

I agree, her voice could be good if only she could get control of it.
I find her to be quite bizarre personality wise. |
