Have you ever noticed that the past three weeks joe has been called first

I've noticed he seems to get called first most weeks and do a suprised face and hug Cheryl, and Jedward are always called last if they are safe.

Yeah, I noticed this too.

I think it's because the bookies offer money on who gets called out first. Joe is the favourite to be called first, so they will pick someone else this time to get money.

i have. it's annoying, but he's deemed safe almost every week by the judges and FMs alike, so it wouldn't be a surprise even if he was kept until last.

I've noticed. I think it's because it's so obvious that he's going to get through, that they may as well get it over and done with which makes the rest of the result more tense.

Let's face it, if Lloyd, Jedward & Joe were the last 3 standing on the stage, there'd be no suspense at all.

I think they should mix it up a little and go something like this............

OK here are the results.........................John and Edward you are in the bottom two, please stand to one side please, thanks. Danyl, please also stand to one side you are in the bottom two.

The rest of you, you sing next week as you are through to the next round. Congrats

if they did that, it could be over and done with in 5 mins.

while i'd definitely prefer it... not good for the ratings war.

Maybe it's because Joe is the act who always just manages to escape the bottom two.

After all, Dermot always stresses the fact that the results are read out in no particular order.

It makes me think that John & Edward could be topping votes most weeks seeing as though they are always last to be read out.

I reckon it's done as a way to get John & Edward to win. The fact that Joe is always read out first makes his fans relax and not vote as much. I think a lot of people think that because his name is read out first it means he has the most votes.

Meanwhile, the fact that John & Edward are left till last to find out whether they are through or not worries their fans, so they ring and vote, like their very lives depend on it.

Just a madcap theory though.

What's the betting that Joe gets called up first or second today? Him and Stacey.

Yep, I think its because its absolutely no surprise whatsoever to anyone that Joe goes through. They like drama. Joe being called last is no drama. If he was the last one to be called, I wonder what % of the population would, just before he was called, not be pretty sure that his name was coming?

Having said that, we are coming down to the wire now. Things may change.
