Interesting interview re backing tracks
I was listening to the radio early this morning and they where talking to musician from a band Matt Bianco who used to play keyboards for Wham on tour.
He was there last night and said that the producers had turned down the sound on the backing tracks as the previous week it drowned out the artists vocals and gave the impression that the artist wasn't singing(i assume Jedward). However they over did this last causing some of the artists to drown out the backing track and having pitching problems. He said Olly had trouble with his voice drowning out the music and Danyl had to remove his earpiece because it was putting him off. |

That's interesting, it sounds as if the sound engineers have gone from one extreme to the other.
The sound has been dodgy overall on the X-Factor for a long time, what with microphones not being turned on at the right time and the balance all wrong. It's very odd, considering how the lighting and special effects people seem to be very tightly drilled, that the sound engineers should be allowed to cock things up every week. |

Interesting view. It would certainly explain why they were all rather flat yesterday except for Joe. Joe is a very good singer, but perhaps by the time they got to him they realised the problems that they were causing everybody and corrected the levels.
