Not been on this forum for a while after all the help people gave me when I got the Foxsat at first. Anyway, just got a couple of questions on the recent software update.

The most recent update on my machine was on 25 October 09. I've got the latest application version 10011 but the loader is version 752. I tried updating OTA both automatically and manually and nothing was available. Is it worthwhile following the PC download instructions? I don't even know what a loader is or does...

The practical issue I have is with playing back recordings on my PC. Previously someone sent a post explaining how to do it and telling me to use VLC Media Player. Everything was working fine until the update. Just been away on business, took my recordings, only to find that no .ts file had been copied. I've got an .nts and one other file, but not the .ts which has the programme in it.

Is there something new I have to do when copying the files from the Humax? Any other ideas? And is there any way of copying direct to my laptop's hard-disc. At the moment I have to go via an external hard disc which takes for ever.

You've got the latest software, the Loader only fixes an issue in the Diseqc Installation Wizard, so if you're not a Diseqc user, don't bother. You cannot do a Loader update OTA.

Nothing has changed with the files, you get the same three files as before. Sounds like you just forgot to copy the .ts from your Ext HDD to your laptop.

You can't copy directly to your laptop, unless you do the eSata Loop modification enabling direct access to the internal HDD.
