Also I really like JLS and I think they deserve success too because there's a gap in the market for them but Leona and JLS comparisons are even stupider than Leona and Alex comparisons because they're a boyband and she's a solo female artist. I don't know why people have to criticise JLS to praise Leona, it's really quite sad. Have your opinion, but it's not like every time I praise Alexandra Burke I have to criticse Diana Vickers.
No one knows the future of either acts so no one should really dress their opinion up as fact for either acts. JLS and Leona are two different acts, with two different fanbases so I don't see how their is relevance to compare them. Same with the Alex and Leona comparisions.
As for the comments on the boys fanbases being tweenies, the majority of those who buy singles which are in the top 40 are tweenies, and boybands in the 90's such as TT had tweenies as their fanbases, but ten years later those tweenies are grown women who still buy their music. So I don't get why it is such an awful thing to have teenagers as your fanbase.
As long as both acts have fanbases who like and buy their music they will continue to stay around wherther people like it or not. And this is coming from someone who doesn't really like the music of either of these acts. I just think it uncalled for to criticse other acts for no particular reason.

I mean I'm not saying half of their album sales were from the four different covers, but I reckon they pushed at least 20k from it, considering that a chunk of their fanbase would be gullable enough to not realise that it was just the same album.

I don't think teens are that dumb lol!
I also think that the teens wouldn't have bought all 4 covers not just because it's recession and their mum's arently likely to afford it, but because, like with every boy band, each girl probably has their favourite member and would have bought the cover of them rather than all 4 covers.

It's like being in a school playground again. Personally I'm happy for both acts - they are both talented in their own indivdual ways and both deserve success.

I agree its fans that do put many people off seeing what the artist is really about. by the way they attack people because they say something that is not classed as a praise for the act
