I get the feeling that the producers loved to see these two squabble so try and force one on us this week. YOu can see when Len calls craig a donut and Craig calls Len boring thatthey are smiling.

Its all fake! - we know they get on with each other.

No disrespect, I'm sure you can't have only just realised this after seven series?

It's been like this from programme1, series 1. It's all done to effect and to "big up their parts."
I've said many times too, that neither Bruno nor Len are bright enough to come out with all those comments immediately after a couple has danced, containing so much onomatopoeia and alliteration. They've already decided they'd include that if any dance fitted the remarks.


It's just "showbusiness."

Apropos donut, Brucie made me laugh last year when he said that Bruno was on a diet and the closest he got to donut was sitting next to Len

I've mentioned this before, if I shut my eyes and listen to Len, it could be Mr 'odges, the air raid warden in Dad's Army.

What's worse is hearing those same stupid lines repeated on DWTS...don't they know that some people watch both shows? Someone should tell them.

I noticed that. Wasn't it Len stealing on of Craig's lines in the DWTS semi final?

Craig was asked this question this morning on BBC Breakfast - he said that it was not played up for the cameras, and that it was a real difference of opinion.

That matters little - they can still have a difference of opinion (and accept that without carrying over malice, or allowing it to prey on their mind and eat away at them).

There was the incident on Saturday when Bruce said to either Craig or Len "They don't agree with you", referring to the audience, in the expectation of a reaction.

When there was only a minimal reaction, Len and Bruce had a joke about the need for a "sign" for audience reaction.

It is all "Show Business".

I think they both need to sent to the naughty step.

Well, the audience was very small on Saturday, and I was in it. Right behind Bruno. For those with Iplayer, I'm wearing the shiny, purple striped tie.

I'd say there is a great extent of it being put on for the cameras. I was in the audience last year too, and on that occasion the judges had a right barney between themselves, and the moment the lights wen off them, they ceased moving (a bit like puppets in punch and judy), and when the lights go on them, they start up again.

Saturday, it struck me that Bruno and Len are very close to each other. They held hands briefly before the show started in a sort of long handshake to wish each other luck. Alesha seemed to get on well with both Bruno and Len but Craig seemed a bit out of it in a way - not part of the circle so much. But I personally think there is a LOT of play acting going on with the judges. They know the routine, all the lines and when to pipe up for maximum effect.

I think a lot of it is play acting, and Craig has said that they don't continue the arguments once the show has finished. But on this occasion I thought Len seemed genuinely upset and distracted for the rest of the programme. He was quieter than usual, couldn't remember the name of the top two couples without looking at his notes and then he got Ali and Laila's names mixed up. I know some people will say it's his age, but he doesn't tend to do that (that's more Bruce's speciality). Also Craig was fairly low key about it today on ITT, as was Len, as if they were making peace.

If it was play acting, I think it may have gone too far this time.

Craig and Len come from different aspects of dance, and genuinely have different views and opinions, however, I do think the "rows" are a bit staged to liven up the show, as they do respect each other ..... Bruno is something different though!

The fights between the judges is just like X Factor. Quite honestly I could do without it as it is so obviously scripted just like the constant "war" between Louie and Danni on Strictly. I am really bored by all the publicity about so-called romances between the dancers and celebs and the various problems, bullying etc on X factor between the contestants. It is all done to grab headlines and the public are not stupid. It reminds me of the afternoon wrestling on the telly years ago my Dad was so fond of, it was so obviously staged and rehearsed but he believed it was a real contest between the competitors!!! I think they stage the "fights" on X Factor to extend the programme so they can put even more commercial breaks in. Perhaps it is my imagination but I am almost positive that the commercial breaks are getting longer and longer. Now we often only see ONE ACT between we have yet another break for a commercial.

I agree with what you say except that I think a lot of people who watch must be stupid and have very little knowledge of music if they think any of those who appear are more than poor, or at their best average.

But I also think there's an element of schadenfreude for many viewers. Testimony to that is the way the public ganged up on Katie Price in the "Jungle."

I've never watched X-Factor, I was never interested enough. I occasionally clicked onto the channel when it was on just out of curiosity to see how bad these singers were according to the press. But I only ever got a commercial break, or a load of hype. I never once saw a singer.
