Hope Simon has learnt a lesson
I think Simon had a big influence in how the Press and ultimately some of the public saw John and Edward. In the beginning he had them down as arrogant etc, they were over excited 18 year olds. He said they sang over that girl in the auditions, again over-excitable 18 year olds (they were all out to impress) Simon belittled them on the TV..
Then it came to the live shows and before they became more popular the Judges had a dig as well and the press put the boot in again and the crown booed right till the end. In the most part it had nothing to do with whether or not they were talented. J&E have had the cr*p chucked at them by baying crowds and the media and I hope now they can just do their thing (whatever their thing was/is) I'm not a fan particularly but I think they were treated terribly and I think a lot of originated from their very first appearance and Simons comments. I hope Simon has a think before he openly ridicules someone on national tv without spending time with them and getting to know them past first impressions. |

I reallly think Simon measures his success by how much money he makes, how much publicity he and his shows get, and how many viewers tune in.
Anything else - such as morality or the feelings of those who buy into the fairy tale his shows offer - just doesn't even register on the radar with him, imo. |

That's a bit unfair.

With all the threats that have been made to these lads, I hope they are looking after them more even after they leave. I think they have a duty of care to protect them.
