Last week he could and should have got rid of Lloyd.
But Louis let his dislike of Jamie get in the way.

Jame wasnt great but he was better than lloyd.

Last week in the sing off he said that he would put through the person with the most potential. He chose Lloyd.

This week after Lloyd done his (dire) song Louis said that he liked everything about Lloyd apart from his voice. So why didnt he send him home last week?

When Jedward were in the bottom 2 Loius said that Lloyd should have been in the sing off instead of Jedward - and he was right...maybe.

Dont he realise that had he got shot of Lloyd then Jedward would potentially still been in the comp for a week more at least?

Crazy fool

If Louis kept Jamie, John and Edward would have been the weakest act there. By keeping Lloyd he took his chances that he may be in the bottom two.

i thought that earlier. if he'd gotten rid of lloyd when he had the chance, there would have been no rebound vote for him and i reckon the twins could have gotten more votes from from teens

Louis was saving Lloyd for this week's sing-off but the voting went awry...it could've been the new haircut, accidental voting or just love for Cheryl Cole...either way this was not meant to happen...

He was certainly implicit in giving them that song in the sing off, when he knew there was no way they could possibly have pulled it off.

Its not Louis fault, Jedward just didnt have the popularity you all think they had. If they did then they wouldnt have been in the bottom two.

I reckon Louis has been in constant contact with the twins' family. He mentioned several times that they were at all the shows and were quite upset listening to the boos.

In recent days, the Death Threat pages on Facebook were given more publicity. With so many teen stabbings and shootings, any parent would find it impossible to ignore that kind of sicko stuff.

The attack on Leona Lewis can't have been reassuring either. The Calvin Harris stunt must have brought home to the twins' parents how easy it would have been for something nasty or tragic to occur.

I also reckon that, from the very start, Louis was honest with J&E about the fact that winning was next to impossible. I'm sure they realised that.

So, it was all about getting on national TV and seeing whether or not this publicity might lead to something else. I think it probably succeeded beyond Louis' or their wildest dreams.

This was a good time to bow out. Anything to be gained from staying an extra week or two was outweighed by the likelihood that the haters would have become even more hysterical. They would have been blamed for the elimination of the other mega-talented ( )singers. The twins got what they wanted from the show. They can now sit back and discuss all the offers with their family and friends. I hope they don't rule out finishing their secondary education before moving forward.

Louis did Jamie a favour I'm certainly glad he didn't have to end up having to sing a wham song

In all fairness, they're out at the producers decided it was their time to go: "no matter what happens you need to be really proud of yourself for coming this far." That's not a very neutral comment to make before voting even opens, in my opinion.

Probably got rid of them to record their debut single to make an "Anti X-Factor" chart battlewith J&E.

Haha I can just see Jamie bopping around in one of those day-glo outfits singing "Wake me up ..." through tightly clenched teeth.
