Tango Music?
OK a tiny bit off topic, but still dance related.
Is Let Me Entertain you (Robbie Williams) a suitable song for a tango, and do you think it would be a good one for the show? |

No. And no.
Not for amateurs anyway. You'd have to be a blinding dancer to sell the tango to "Entertain". I'm warning you - you mark my words, there'll be a Charleston to Michael Jackson this weekend or something equally ludicrous!!!! |

It was a bit worrying early on when the woman in charge of the dress designs said on IT2, that this year it was to have an "eighties theme."
I really believe some stupid BBC "suit" is so worried about Strictly being trounced by X-factor so is influencing some music choices to be as "near as that lot's over there as possible." It's all about ratings and "engaging" a younger audience, most of whom are watching X-Factor or already on their way down to the pub. The choices this year have been pretty dire, with a few exceptions when "proper" ballroom tunes have been chosen. I don't mind some contemporary tunes if there's a "strict tempo" but often there's not. Still, it least we haven't had "Eleanor Rigby" again. |

no i think its an awful song for a tango but i like the traditional music for tango and paso so i would never believe a modern song is that great for this kind of dance
