How does this live broadcasting work?

There is no way Natalie and Ola changed that fast! I'm sure the ITT was live, but then Alesha's song couldn't be.

But it was!

Somebody help!

It was probably pre-recorded, I don't know lol.

On SCD they often record segments of the show beforehand and insert them into the live broadcast. I was in the audience last Saturday, and they recorded the group Rumba and Shirley Bassey's segments before the show (did the Rumba twice!) and slotted the pre records in as the live show progressed.

ITT is a mix of live broadcasting together with prerecorded bits that are broadcast without comment as if they are live, just as on the main show the group dance is prerecorded and often so is the musical guest.

On another thread it was noted that during the show Claudia had said that they would be showing an earlier visit to the studio so that suggests that although it was broadcast as if it was happening live, it was indeed a prerecorded segment.

I knew that they did that the saturday show, but when she said there was a pre-recorded bit, I presumed that was the clip of Natalie and Ricky dancing NOT her interviewing them.

It did't makesense to me, her saying on something pre-rcorded that they were going to show something differenet pre-recorded!

You must be right. There's no other way it could have been done.

Claudia said something like "Before the show, I popped down to the Strictly studio" so I think it was clear it was pre-recorded

Not exactly off topic as it's CiN. I just watched a tape of the "Legally Blonde" excerpt, and my heartstrings went "twang" as I spotted Aoife Mulholland, ex-"Maria" semi-finalist in the chorus. Age has not withered her, au contraire; au Goooooddd!

Aoife girl, get yourself on Strictly 2010! Winner!

What's that? She has previous experience! Who cares!
