I know there've been topics on this before, but I haven't seen one in a while...

There's a couple of songs that I can't hear without associating them with the dance that was done to them on SCD.

'Songbird' by Eva Cassidy always makes me think of James' and Cherie's rumba.

'Rebel Yell' reminds me of the pro jive from a couple of years ago.

'I'm Still Standing' reminds me of that jive.

'You Can't Stop the Beat' from Hairspray makes me smile and think of Austin's and Erin's jive.

I seem to be a bit of a jive fan...

I can't hear 'Kissing You' by Desree without thinking of Vincent and Flavia's gorgeous waltz - and I remember texting a friend once it finished saying 'there's no way they're breaking up!'... Just goes to show how dancing and reality don't always match

"Hot, hot, hot", Golden Eye and "Beautiful" always conjure up wonderful memories of great dances for me. I never liked Golden Eye or Beautiful until I saw the wonderful dances by Mark and Colin.

If I Were a Painting, Knock on Wood, Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue. They all remind me of Gethin's lovely dances. And Amazing Grace reminds me of his waltz in the Christmas Special when he was robbed of the glitter ball - IMO!

Whenever I hear "Valerie", I think of Alesha/Matt's quickstep. And whenever I hear "Faith" I think of Matt/Lilia's Samba - or rather Matt's pink shirt! Not sure why these have stuck in my head, but they have.

Your Beautiful by James Blunt reminds me of Colin and Erins rumba and Night to Remember reminds me of Darren and Lilias show dance.

There are other songs I hear on the radio and think ooh that reminds me of a dance on SCD but can’t remember them now

Vincent and Rachel's dance songs are always popping up on the radio, and as we were voting for them last year, they're easily remembered.' Close To You,' and ' Here Comes the Rain Again ' bring it all flooding back.

I'm still standing is my ultimate strictly song, whenever I hear it I want to start jiving (last time this happened I was at a Christmas party and I fell over and broke two fingers )

Also Hot, hot, hot (mark and Karen) and Live and let die (Letitia and Darren ).

And the pity is they keep repeating them year after year. Yawn!

I do wish the pros would TRY and improve their limited knowledge of music and naff taste. Hey, they could try using real dance music - like proper tango and jive music? Wouldn't that be original?

If I hear another tango danced to Eric Clapton I'm leaving for Buenos Aires

Layla has been used 2 years running, last year for Cherie and James' AS, this year for Laila and Anton's Paso. There's also a traditional piece of Paso music which has been used a lot! I'm sure there are more, but those 2 come to mind.

Goldeneye, Hot Hot Hot and Shout all remind me of Mark and Karen who are, to date, still my faves.

Others include, Walking my Baby Back home, Crazy in Love, Knock on Wood and I'm Still Standing. Probably because I remember those dances so well.
