150,000 just today, with 400,000 being predicted by HMV for the week!

HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo said Susan Boyle was on course for first-day sales of nearly 150,000 copies in Britain, including online pre-orders.

"HMV is now revising significantly its estimate for the total weekly sales upward from the 300,000 that we initially projected to a figure closer to 400,000," Castaldo said.

Who is buying her album? I listened to some of her songs and she sounds a bit too boring for me.

I`ve been drinking and after another 3 crates might be drunk enough to put one of her "karaoke" tunes on.

I read it had the biggest pre-sales of any album ever on Amazon.

Good luck to her .. can't see the appeal vocally myself . without the back story she's just an average Am Dram singer to me who you can find in most choral societies.

i guess there are a of people going to be put to sleep for christmas this year .. lol

Sorry that was a bit cruel but to me the album's a total snoozefest.

My Dad bought the album today and I was in the car so was forced to listen to it. Even he admitted that the only decent track on there was "I Dreamed a Dream" and the other tunes were "a bit slow".

However it's the kind of non-risk taking sentimental schmaltz that Simon Cowell specialises in, and the masses will lap it up. I expect many parents and large parts of the older generation will be receiving it as a Christmas present this year.

Wild Horses wouldn't make me buy that crap.

I bought the album and think it is wonderful. I went in knowing that it wouldn't be groundbreaking or revolutionary in the world of music, but rather an eclectic mix of songs sung by a wonderful voice.

Most critics, while not being kind about some of the song choices, agree that Susan's voice is very special.

I wish her all the best and hope she leads a happy and fulfilled life, achieving her dream at long last.

Aww good for her!

Whilst i'm not a fan and haven't bought the album, she deserves some success and happiness. Just goes to show that looks and age isn't the be all, end all when it comes to making it big.

Out of all the reality show winners we've ever had I just can't get my head around why this woman is selling so much

Don't get me wrong, i'm very happy for her. But i just can't fathom it

Me neither, it's like Robson and Jerome all over again. I despair that people are buying this, I really do.

It just shows the effect these tv shows have on too many people. It also shows why they make so many. Loadsamoney for those behind them.

This album is fantastic, in recent weeks I have bought, Leona, Alex, The Sats and Cheryl Cole. I have to say that Susan Boyle wipes the floor with all of them, I havent had it off which is more than could be said about the others.

Is it really to difficult to type or say 'Susan Boyle'? That is her name....Jedward, Bennifer, Branjelina....why don't people talk like adults anymore...
