Gaga makes £100 from Spotify
http://paidcontent.co.uk/article/419...rned-gaga-167/
News arrives that Lady Gaga has made £100 from a million 'streams' of Poker Face, and I was wondering how that compares to radio play. Do artists get paid every time their song gets played on the radio? If so, how much? Anyone know? Further questions - does this validate Spotify? Or is that not the issue at stake here? Discuss. |

I think it's inevitable that they'll have to start charging for everybody to use it, and as long as they don't charge too much I think it will still be pretty popular.
Record companies seem to be working with Spotify too which makes a change. Robbies album was streaming free for about 4 days prior to it's release. Usually record companies are really anal with stuff like this and start lawsuits at the drop of a hat! |

The first of those famous retro Levis ads had someone impersonating Sam Cooke singing 'Wonderful World'. |
