Lou came close on sunday night but I want a judge to just come out with it and say to Lloyd>

"look son, their is no doubt you are good looking but you cant sing for toffee, perhaps you should go get a part in hollyoaks but forget the singing"

We all know that teen-girls are voting for him cos they fancy him and not for the singing.

Tell the honest truth and you risk a landslide of sympathy votes...next week they should compare Lloyd to Andrea Bocelli...

On one hand, I couldn't believe what Dannii and Simon said after that performance. They have both gone far too easy on him through the whole competition. It's like Eoghan Quigg all over again.

Yet I can't help but think Louis may have been the one that kept Lloyd in by criticising him and getting him a sympathy vote.

Because apparently hes 16, so it might hurt his feelings! GET HIM OUT I SAY!

Perhaps because he can actually sing (though undoubtedly he is the least strong singer of those left in the competition)...

Also it was rather rich coming from Louis, when his last act in the competition (J&E) are the ones who couldn't sing

Remember what happened when Sharon spat out her honest opinion?

They have to demonstrate some amount of tact otherwise they get slaughtered in the press and wind up with thousands of no-life losers reporting them to OFCOM.

I really can't see him staying after this week, surely he doesn't have that much public support being in the bottom two so often? I think the order from last to first will now be :

Lloyd
Olly
Danyl
Stacey
Joe

You could possibly swap Olly & Danyl as not sure after this week who is more popular but I think rightly or wrongly the top 2 is pretty set in stone now. The only doubt is if the public believe that Stacey is just another Leona/Alexandra type and don't bother to vote for her, I do think her 'personality' is keeping her in at the moment (and I am not saying she is a bad singer, just a bit generic)

I honestly thought I was going to click on this thread and see a suggestion that someone would be saying

'Look, Debbie, you were great on 'Heart of Glass', but it was all downhill from that point onwards'

Simon and Danni were smart in their comments, they didn't give him alot of praise but they also didn't slag him off, giving him the sympathy vote.

Simon is not stupid. Even he can see that long term Lloyd is a much better bet than say, Olly.

Lloyd was a long way from being one of the worst two performances last week (which were clearly Olly and Jedward by a mile), so they didn't have much reason to give him massive criticism. He was fine. He's not going to win, but he's got a decent chance of making the semi-final at least.

Me Too!!!

Also - Randy and the Rainbows original version of Denise Denise , although done in a completely different style, is much catchier.

Always bugs me when people think Blondie were the first to do it.

Me too. A Blondie week wouldn't be a bad idea, mind.

It was Simon who kept Lloyd in when he sent home Rachel, one of the best voices in the competition. (to quote Simon over and over again)
Yes it is Simon who is responsible for that!

It is not Lloyds fault that he is still in the competition. If Cheryl had any sense she would have sent him home at bootcamp, told him to get some vocal training, then audition in a couple of years time. I honestly believe that he would have been much better doing that. Having said that, I think he has improved in the last few shows and has prooved that he can sing, he just hasn't got the power in his voice like Joe and Danyl have.

Lol yes peoiple are keeping him in because of his looks and because they feel sorry for him, but he is getting better every week. But definately not the winner I hope. But DAMN he's smexiiii!

Lloyd has more potential than any of them.

Look, this isn't about who has the strongest voice. It isn't called 'Voice-Factor'. You don't need to be a fantastic vocalists to sing middle-of-the-road, inoffensive, bland, dry pop songs.

It's a shame that people think the show is about who can belt out the most impressive note on the night. It isn't. Primarily it's a television show, of course. But secondly it's about finding someone who can sell records and someone who hopefully has some long-term sustainability in the market place.

Whilst ANY X-Factor winner will have an initial hit, the question is what happens after. Lloyd is better placed simply due to his age, look and general appeal.

He's not the strongest singer in the competition but where would Olly, Joe and Danyl's long term support come from? Joe's career in musical theatre is virtually assured and the other two simply don't have enough to sustain interest from the 'Popworld' market. Lloyd does.

So I think those dismissing Lloyd simply because he doesn't belt out the tunes as well as the rest, may be being a little short sighted.

If Lloyd wins this show over Danyl or Joe, then it will officially be a farce.

Whatever personal opinions of either Joe or Danyl are, they can both outsing Lloyd any day of the week.

So if Simon and Syco are looking at marketing the very young and inexperienced Lloyd over these two, then the best thing that could happen is for him to be voted out now so that at least the show is still a singing competition with the best singer winning and not the 'potential' singer in ten years winning.

Lloyd may well have improved on his own personal performance, but he's still piss poor in comparison to those voted out, never mind the ones remaining.

I just hope that this show doesn't become even more of a farce than it already is by having the teeny nation given hope that the pretty face has a hope of winning.

Firstly, it's disappointing yet predictable yet more and more people subscribe to the "if it doesn't go the way I want it to, it's a farce" mantra.

Secondly, it's NOT about who is the best singer. It's about marketability and selling records. If only the best singers did that, the current top 40 would look markedly different.

Sadly people seem to judge judge the competition on who delivers the best 'money-shot' note during the live shows. Never has, never will and never should be about that.

It's about finding someone who can sell records over a sustainable period and Lloyd will blend into the Heat-magazine, Smash Hits (as it were) audience better than anyone else.

Lloyd is a nice lad, with an okay voice, but I would not buy his music, sorry he is not good enough yet. He should have waited another year or two. He is out of his depth now totally. He does have a nice tone, but it needs work on it.

Yes the pretty face sells magazines, but I do not think Lloyd should or will win this show.

Do you know what, you are probably right.

That's probably why I haven't bought one single record in about 3 years. Because the current charts are absolutely shit.

But we need sex in the show now that the twins have gone!

There is only Lloyd and Olly to lust after now.

I'm not disagreeing. I don't like it, but it's the way the world is.

I'm not really your "pop" fan anyway, but Lloyd seems to be ideal for their market that they have.

I know and sorry if I sounded tetchy and peed off, but that's probably because I am.

I love watching X Factor and RTV shows, but I positively hate the manipulation and spin and have become a cynic more than a fan these past few years.
