On the upside, Lloyd does make good eye-candy. I'm shallow enough to admit that. A perving on a Saturday night isn't so disagreeable.

Sorry, but I can't even agree with that. I'd feel like I was baby snatching. That's how old I am

I think Lloyd sang better than Olly for the last two weeks

So much of this Lloyd hating is just stupid. The guy has never claimed to have the technically best voice in the competition.

If all that matters is accuracy of the voice, then Joe is the winner, hands down.

But Joe has virtually no chance of succeeding as a recording artist. He can get all the votes in the world, but nobody will buy his records. His voice might be technically perfect, but that's not what people actually really care about when they listen to music. In fact it's pretty much the opposite of what they want.

Lloyd meanwhile has a perfectly decent voice. Not flawless, and certainly unpolished – but also having a timbre and character to it, which Joe's so clearly lacks. On record, that really matters, in a way that doesn't come across on live television.

He's got two strong potential routes he could go down, both of which have decent potential. He has the looks and personality to go down the teen popstar route and appeal to the gay and teenage market, where he already has a lot of fans. And he also has the characterful voice to (with a bit of work on the technical aspects of his voice) go down the James Morrison/Jason Mraz route. Either way, there are options open to him, and possibly a lot of records that could be sold.

He might be a success, he might not. But he's got a heck of a lot more chance of it than most of the other contestants. Should he win? - no, because Syco wouldn't have a clue what to do with him. But does he deserve to make the final over people like Olly? - absolutely.

We all know that teen-girls are voting for him cos they fancy him and not for the singing.”

It's been said. Simon said it very bluntly in his VT once.
EDIT - the bit about getting by on his looks not Hollyoaks
Also said he was lucky the chicks loved him in his critique once.

Then goes on to tell us how amazing Olly is, who I agree with hisdogspot, Lloyd has performed better than for two weeks now.

He may have been bottom two twice, but only when the twins were in, with whom he alternated. He wasn't bottom two last week either when he may have beaten Danyl in the vote as well as Olly last week. I believe he did.
If either Danyl or Olly are bottom of the votes this week they will go home.

I can't see him winning, but this week is not quite as straightforward as some seem to think.

I especially agree with this bit

True and last year with Eoghan, Dannii said what she couldn't say then, in her column. That Eoghan was a weak singer.

Come on people, this is a bit harsh!! I am rooting for Danyl to win it, but Lloyd isn't that bad a singer. He's 16 after all, and I think the problem with him is nerves. He can sing, he just sounds so nervous and looks so uncomfortable. I think he's not helped by the fact that Cheryl talks him up alot and he just looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights of an oncoming car. Out of the X factor enviroment I think he'd be a good little pop star, he just needs to gain confidence and believe in himself a bit more, something he could take a few tips from Danyl over.

No, he really can't.
Listen to him with your eyes closed during the live shows and you'll hear just how bad it is.

I do, but if you listen to him properly, through all the shakey lines, he can...... It's not that he cannot sing, it the nerves getting the better of him...... You can hear the shakeyness in his voice. Give the poor kid a break!!

I don't hate or dislike Lloyd, but saying he can sing is to me a lie, and I'd rather be honest than mislead a young kid like him.
I think he is cute and charming and I'm sure there are lots of things he can do.
Singing is not his talent.

As proven, so kindly, by his mentor.

I like Lloyd more and more. I don't mind if he wins, however unlikely that may seem.

Whilst I really do like Joe and Stacey for different reasons, I do wish one of the other three would win it. Then next year we can stop moping around every time our favourites are in the bottom 2 - because the bottom 2 curse would be lifted!

Stupid reason I know. Oh, and of course Danyl is my favourite. But out of the 5 left I would not have a problem with any of them as winners but for the reasons stated above I hope its Danyl/Olly/Lloyd.

After Saturday's performance, one of Dannii's comments was "you have got a certain X factor" I couldn't believe my ears.

This is true.

I also get annoyed when people go on tyrades calling for acts to leave under their own volition, it's not their fault people have voted to keep them in and if they left it'd be a punch in the gut for eveyone who voted for them.

In reality im sure a lot of these acts feel an obligation to go out week-on-week and perform for those voters even when they are getting such negative press and especially when they see better singers going out when they are kept in.

Thats strength of character and you can't buy that.
