I wasn't very impressed by the last thread you started, Sid.

Absolutely

You're having a laugh?
Saved 3 times in a dance off against at least 1 far superior dancer, Bruno salivating (another poster's word but I thought it apt ) over her, Bruno (again) slipping up and talking about 'my girls' ( Lisa and Rachel).
Are 3 clues enough?

Exactly!
Plus it's another celeb's turn in the spotlight tomorrow - they will all get a show made over to them personally I imagine, now that there are so few competitors.

The likes of Ricky is never on ITT to have that priviledge and Ali doesn't give over the same bubbly (sorry Veri :rolleyes) vibe.
I think Claudia just reacts favourably to a fun person - look at her with the boys tonight.

For heaven's sake, Claudia gushes over every celeb she has on and the idea that Natalie is been talked about because she works for the BBC is ludicrous. The three guys on the panel also talked about Chris and Craig tonight - Craig at some length.

Some people seem to have a fixation about Natalie now and the poor girl hasn't done anything except be herself.

Natalie is popular and isn't a bad dancer - get over it.”

To be fair, they could talk about Craig as much as they liked but it's not going to sway anyone into voting for hm! which is what the implication seems to be.

Put it this way. Natalie is a better dancer than Chris Parker was and he got to the final, to be beaten by one of the nation's then darlings, who got the occasional viewer vote and the dance vote vs. the EE and the yoof vote.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Beeb want Natalie to progress as far as possible to help promote the tour (though it's almost a sell-out already isn't it?). But her chances are small, assuming that the leaked public vote still stands and Chris wins by a street every week.

Based on this, what's likely to happen?

Laila - out next week, most of us think.

The following week 12 could be the "shocker" where Ali faces Ricky in a dance-off. This can only happen if all four dancers end up with 5 points. Natalie has to beat Chris with the judges (possible), and Ali has to be the judges' favourite but bottom with the public (likely, to my personal chagrin).

Chris 1+4
Nat 2+3
Ricky 3+2
Ali 4+1

But if only one half of Alky is in the dance-off, they would be saved, and either Natalie or Chris would be out. I think Natalie is then more likely to go into the dance-off than Chris as she doesn't have his public vote.

All the judges have to do to achieve that is to mark Alky equal top, so that one of them must get at least six points in total.

So there's less than a 50/50 chance of a semi with NC, CH and one decent dancer.

ATM this looks a credible scenario &, as a fervent Whittle Watcher, deeply disturbing

But, you're right... if the judges mark Ali & Ricky the same at the top on a tied score, there is a way out - even if Ricky is bottom with the public, the judges should put him through against Natalie or Chris in a dance off.

Whether or not this is the worst series is debatable but I still love all the machinations and *confess* I'm a sucker for the conspiracies Can't wait to see it all unfold...

I have my favourites but I don't want to bash Natalie, or any of the celebs, for what she looks like. She is an attractive young woman but I don't enjoy watching her dance with Vincent. To some extent, i think the BEEB bigging her up more than ever now that Jade has had to drop out and Chris is the only contender other than the two with obvious dancing skills.

That doesn't really work though (in that scenario):

A & B : 4 + 1 = 5
R & N : 4 + 2 = 6
N & V : 3 + 3 = 6
C & O : 2 + 4 = 6

That's still a Ricky vs Ali dance-off. The smartest way to rig it is look at the past figures for Ali vs Ricky and Natalie vs Chris in the public vote, and in each case mark the "winner" higher than the other, whilst keeping to an Ali/Ricky 1-2 and a Chris/Natalie 3-4. Or even go for the infamous 2nd-3rd-1st-4th (in terms of public vote) formation and boot the public's favourite.

If we're making predictions I'm guessing we get the two remaining standard dances the week after next. And I think Ricky (Foxtrot, Cha Cha) is likely to beat Ali (Tango, Samba) and Natalie (Rumba, Waltz) is likely to narrowly lose to Chris (Waltz, Samba). In which case I make it an Ali vs Natalie dance-off with Natalie probably going home.

(I'm also not convinced that Ricky Whittle isn't beating Natalie in the vote, but that's by the by)

This sounds credible too - I'm like the bloke in the Fast Show - every new argument convinces me

OT and being an OBN - loved Monkseal's full review on Greytop's thread

Laila does appear to be a goner this week - according to the Mirror on Greytop (I know I know Daily Mirror) she's flown off to Morocco for a photoshoot for 3 days.

Why do people think that just because some celebs on ITT support someone that they dont that it has to be some kind of consipiracy ??

Apart from Colin who was always pretty good both Matt and Gethin will relate much more to someone who isnt brilliant but 'having a go' as they are both the kind of men who are modest and would argue that they were not as good as they actually were, and therefore see themselves in someone like Chris or Natalie rather than someone like Ricky Whittle.

I cant imagine anyone telling Matt to say something other than what he thought as his comments about Craig Kelly and Flavia were much more from the public point of view than the BBC's thats for sure.

Gethin is NOT a BBC employee even though he does do work for them ofcourse but not as an employee he also works on other channels.

Gethin pointed out that he likes Natalie and Vincent partly because Vincent looks as though he is really have a good time dancing with his celeb and thats exactly right he does, as does Ola with Chris. Natalie and Brian obviously enjoy dancing with their celebs but its in a more slushy showmance way than Vincent and Ola and thats not what I personally watch strictly for.

Natalie is not my favourite (Chris is) but she is beginning to attract my vote aswell as Chris because I think she is a sweet natural girl who for me manages to make me smile when I watch her. As Craig said....she may not be a great dancer but she is endearing....to me anyway and seemingly quite a lot of members of the public.

I couldn't take anything Matt said seriously after he chose Craig as hos highlight of the series but you are right. Matt freely admits that Lilia led him all the way to the final.

imo they are ill matched and Vincent doesn't look as if he's enjoying dancing with his celeb.

The objection to all three opting for Natalie is in the context of the whole show, her never being criticised and inflated marks.

I couldn't believe that all three would choose natalie over the others, including Chris.

I loved seeing the three guys again, they were a good laugh, as for all the Natalie love... I take it with a pinch of salt, Claudia picked up on something Russell Grant said when he was guest a few weeks back and he said he was only saying what he had been told to say.

I think people should probably factor in the fact that both Gethin and Matt were in series in which Vincent and Ola featured, and in which Brian and Natalie Lowe did not.

Who supports who on It Takes Two is basically a big incestuous matey mate thing anyway - like when every single eliminated celeb last year basically said they were supporting the partnership with their pro dancer's partner in.

I was slightly surprised on those grounds that Colin didn't say he was backing Laila but...it's Colin. He was always happy just to go with the flow.

We are obviously watching a different couple then......he looks like he is having a great time to me....but then he always does with all his partners I think.....one of the reasons I like him.

Do you happen to be a fan of Vincent? I see him as completely overshadowed in this partnership.

That's just the contrast with last year. There was no danger of his partner overshadowing him there!

After all, he's lost his punchline. He can hardly call Natalie his piccolina, can he? Well, he did once on a training VT, but never again. Odd that.

Vincent over shadowed ??? thats not possible is it ?? Stephanie Beacham might have come close but we will never know.

I like Vincent yes, I find him entertaining both on and off the dance floor but particularly ON the dancefloor. I dont usually vote for a couple based just on the professional anyway. I have voted for Natalie on some weeks (not all) I was a Jade and Chris fan, now I am Chris but I could vote tactically for Natalie aswell to try and protect Chris from a dance off with Ali or Ricky, as I see the only way to do this is to have Ali and Ricky dance off against each other !!

I've said previously that Vincent is looking years younger this series which makes me believe he is enjoying himself and the experience immensely without the added burden of having to promote the 'relationship' side of things so much.
I was not a fan of Rachel (*hiding behind a wall*), but I would hazard a guess that he had to 'overdo' the personality bit last year to compensate for Rachel's reticence which would wear him out more.
This year he is able to relax a bit with a more out-going celeb and do what he does best - choreograph and tutor.
(Last week was a 'blip' for him - we all have them )

I find that on the dance floor I hardly notice him when he's dancing with Natalie. For me they just don't click as a couple. I suspect that tactical voting for Natalie could be at Chris's expense rather than Ricky's or Ali's. We don't know for sure that Chris is topping the viewer vote every week. I was surprised to see Tuffers in the DO.

Oh come on now, I made a light-hearted thread about who I thought Ali resembled.

It wasn't meant as an insult and I hope other posters realise that.

Laying into the way a person looks isn't my style.

I'm not personally bothered by it but it has upset some of Ali's supporters.
