Impossible to find this 7" single from the movie Monster Club - Monster Mash by Vincent Price. I would love to own an actual copy as the only copys online are ripped from the movie or are very low quality.

Hmmm. When I click on this thread there's nothing but a reply button. No text, nothing. I wonder if this reply will make it appear.

^^Same here.

Don't know about Vincent Price but you can easily get the original by Bobby 'Boris' Pickett on eBay for a couple of quid.

It's not by Vincent Price though it sounds like him. It's by Bobby (Boris) Pickett.

Actually several people have recorded the song and Vincent Price also did a version of it for the movie Monster Club. It was not released on the movies soundtrack, only on a demo 7" from EMI records which i have posted the catalogue number for. By all means youtube it to check for yourself.

I believe the OP is looking for the 1977 version which was by Vincent Price. Picket original is from 1962.

I guess like any rare deleted record you'll have to wait for a copy to turn up on eBay (it's £15 in the Record Collector price guide).

Presumably they still do the "records wanted" section in Record Collector magazine (haven't bought it for a good few years),try putting an ad in there?

If it's the one I'm thinking of, a friend of mine used to have a copy of it. He sold it a few years ago though

Don't know why I bothered to tell you cos it's of no use, is it, sorry

This might be of no use, but I entered that catalogue number in to Google and got this web page which lists quite a few Vincent Price CDs.

Just to clear up any confusion, Pickets version, released first in 1962, didn't make the UK chart 'til 1973. It was originally banned by the BBC, apparently.

I just find it strange that there seems to be no second hand copies online at all and very little information on the release.
