Claudia just said there is 'a twist' on this Saturday's show. Any ideas? No elimination maybe? (here's hoping).

Dance? Often associated with Chubby Checker?

It's a popular dance craze from the 1960s.

Alesha to score properly on what she sees rather than who she sees?

The second dance which we already know is the twisting and turning VW?

I'd go for no elimination

Didn't James say two dances each or something like that?

I wonder if they'll bring another couple back in. Nobody on here had any idea about Ali's injury so Strictly's quite a tight non-leaking ship at the moment ... there again the twist might be the two dances:sleep:

I hope the twist is either Jade can dance again, wouldn't that be AMAZING!!!!

Or.. Zoe returns! (Well I can dream)

Or... No dance off this week!

I hope they bring back either Ricky G or Tuffers - put a little fun back into the thing.

I think the twist has to do with the second dance and that it's somehow linked to the following week i.e. the quarter finals. I may be wrong but from Brian's demeanour I'm guessing that Ali has to dance this week because of whatever the twist is. If she doesn't dance on Saturday she's out.

Why is 2 dances a twist ?
There have been two dances from this stage for a number of series now ?

This weeks scores carried over and either added to next week or highest scoring dance to count and to be added to public vote.

I'd agree with this!!!
Maybe they'll be awarded points from the group VW by the judges to be added with their overall scores like on DWTS.

How about the viewers get to vote on which of the eliminated couples they'd like to bring back?

i wonder if the twist is either:

only the highest score for one of the two dances gets counted for the scoreboard points

or..there is 3 in the dance-off

have they had a so called "twist" before? is so does anyone remember what it was...as its probably the same this time.

Would that matter? He'd only get eliminated again double quick. I was thinking of it in terms of the BBC needing to 'up' the number of couples to avoid a 2 couple final. I'm sure there are plenty of fans of, say, Zoe & Tuffers who would want to see them back - hence tune in (and up the viewing figures) & vote to get them back. And it would solve a problem for the BBC - especially if Ali can't compete on Saturday.

I hope its either no elimination (which it bloody should be anyway if Ali cant dance) or someone coming back.

The US show has group dances where the judges eliminate people and end up with the best left on the floor alone. They then get points depending on where they were in the leaving order. With 5 dancers thats say 32 34 36 38 40 or 36 37 38 39 40 . You add that to the other dance score.

If there's a group dance and thats whats happening thats another argument for Ali mending her foot this week as you need two good dances.

They are stuck though because if Ali is injured they could find her going next week if she has a bye and doesn't recover or if she dances and survives with the public vote and it gets worse. They already have a case for a roll over week and Ali may need one or make one essential to avoid a one person final. The logical response is roll over.

The problem is if she has a bye she has no votes or marks to roll over and the others start 60+ marks ahead next week.

Well quite. And I'd do the same for Tuffers. If there were any chance of Jade returning - which there isn't - I'd dial until my finger ends frayed!

So - not a bad idea, is it?

Wasn't the idea I had an issue with, it was the British public. Rofl.
