Priority/pre-sale tickets for concerts
Usually I tend to just wait until tickets go on general release if I really want to see a concert but priority tickets for Leona's concert in Dublin became available today - I really want to get some as an Xmas present for a few friends. Anyway, I got the code and went to Ticketmaster and all the they were showing me were crappy tiered touching-the-roof need-binoculars-to-see seats! Now I'm not too familiar with how this all works - surely this isn't just a scam to try and get rid of some dud seats in the guise that they are rare, probably taking advantage of some hardcore fans who think they are getting something special before the Johnny-Come-Latelys? I tried this morning when they went on presale, got tickets available for the backend of nowhere and gave up, came online again tonight after work and have managed to get some seats a little closer. I'll try again tomorrow to see if I manage to get any better. If not then I'll just wait til Friday morning when they go on general release.
What's the point of a presale offer if you're not actually getting anything better? ![]() I know all theatre and concert organisers have all these tricks to encourage sales, like releasing a few tickets, getting them sold off and then announcing they have sold out to create some buzz for when more tickets "miraculously" become available. So really I shouldn't be surprised at this then should I?

Thats so weird. For my Lady GaGa presale, I got Gold Circle Standing tickets. I called the box office direct though, not TickMaster.
