Right dudes,

Im off to bed but just wanted to say there's been a lot of sadness with injuries, arguments over people's favourites, nasty comments on celebs personal attributes and physical appearence and general Not Niceness around this forum recently and whilst I am all for free speech and having a glorious rant, I felt there was room for a Happy SCD Thread on here. No NastyPasties allowed!

I'll start it off by saying that On Topic on SCD, something that made me happy about all the current participants, even the ones I dont particularly love:

1) Chris Hollins suprised me by turning out to be a decent little dancer and his Paso was legendary. And he's quite good looking, in an unusual way!
2) I expected Ricky Whittle to be reasonably good but he surpassed my expectations and danced that glorious Quickstep. And I love his smile far more than his pecs. Im a sucker for a pretty smile.
3) Laila danced a lovely Paso and I think she is stunningly beautiful. I am like Lisa Snowden, I want her Jive outfit!
4) Ali Bastian has one of the most stunning top frames I have ever seen in a celeb and love her finishes on every arm movement. Her ballroom dancing in particular is so beautiful, it makes me want to cry. And bless her for giving us a wonderful VW.
5) Natalie. She's my least fave celeb now but I always think she looks lovely on ITT. I love her hair and wish I had the confidence to wear the outfits she does (as I am a similar size to her and also have had a similar weight loss/weight gain experience at pretty much the same time as she did). My favourite dance of hers was her Tango.

I am also happy, that despite me being a WWW, I have been allowed to express my admiration for Ricky without having to put up with horrible replies. I am thankful for having the reasoned and interesting conversations I have had on here, it being my first season on these boards.

I am also thankful for having the hard-core WWW's who share my love of The Whittle!

Off Topic: I am happy that I have a week of annual leave starting tomorrow and I am changing to a better job next week.

Feel free to post HAPPY THOUGHTS on here people, spread that love around!

DrBol , Yeh for this thread and Yeh for annual leave and I really hope the new job brings you great satisfaction

This makes me happy
Chris and Ola have kept me rivetted and I love the craic they hav e
I warmed to James Jordon and am glad I did this year

Ricky Whittle can dance and I am glad I can now see that and enjoy it ( and sorry if I have in the past lessened anyones enjoyment of it )

Ali Bastian is stuningly beautifull and a joy to watch and she makes me smile
Laila aslo makes me joyous to watch her dance

Seeing the pros dance every week makes my heart sing and I could watch them all night
It makes me happy to see them laugh at rehersals and I laugh with them

I love when they show clips of little kids in dance classes and they make me smile

Good stuff, DrB - you're a regular PollyAnna!!

As you started with the remaining celebs, I'll start with the remaining pros!!

I am happy that...

1) Anton has got through to this late stage of the competition
2) Ola is letting her personality shine through, and really making me like her
3) Natalie is able to choreograph stunning lifts, that should make for a great show dance should they make it so far
4) Vincent is still there to make me laugh with his insanely egocentric comments
5) Brian, although my least favourite pro, gives some great choreography that can make Ali shine

I like this game!!

In general, I am happy because, like you, I'm enjoying my first series as a digi-spyer, and finally finding that there are other people out there who share the Anton appreciation!!

Hehe, top thread!!

Careful, though, don't overdo the Anton appreciation or the people at Digital Spy will delete or close the thread. It's clearly not allowed to like or express support for him on these boards!

This thread is a little ray of sunshine in a very wet and grey Lancashire.

My joy this season is giggly Olga who has really shown us herself this year, also her husband who I disliked as a bit of a bully, he is great this year with his partner and also doing extra bits to camera very well.

Claudia as always is quirky, funny and just herself!!

Finally, on a Monday I love to read the thread `Musings on a Saturday evening` written by johnfromwales, if you haven`t found this thread its the funniest thing on the forums and has hundreds of fans

Ohh, good thread.

I like the suprise of what fun Ola can be, and what a good presenter James could be.

I liked finding out that Brendan is a big softy.

I loved seeing Claudia in the Tesspit.

I'm happy that we might, just might, het to see Jade and Ian's tango one day.

Lovely thread!

My joys:

The Celebrities

1) Ricky Whittle moves extremely well
2) Laila can be a dramatic exotic beauty
3) Ali and Brian ( love the romance and her fairytale dancing)
4) Natalie, when that enthusiasm translates on the dance floor is a joy to watch
5) Chris Hollins has the gift of bringing out the best in people

The Professionals

1) Vincent ~ Always gets on with his celebrities, and looks like he enjoys dancing with them
2) Ola ~ She is such fun and like Vincent seems to get real pleasure from dancing with her partner
3) Natalie ~ She does sometimes look at Ricky like a cat that has just got the cream...but I do think she genuinely appreciates him as a dancer
4) Anton ~ finallly has a partner who can dance!
5) Brian ~ I don't really care whether it's showmance or not, I just like him and Ali together.

Oh and a special mention for Vincent and Flavias tango waltz

Oh yes Lancs lass - 'the Musings', they have me in stitches

Both Brendan and James really showed there Mr Nice Guy side this year.

90% of the costumes are fab - if anyone out there gets it right all the time let me know how you do it. (Though I'd like to think drB had a bit higher success rate)

I think Craig gives really good feedback on the whole. He's certainly my favourite judge.

Good luck with the new job drB. For me, it looks I might finally get my businees sold the beginning of the New year and one of my dogs that was quite poorly went to the vets yesterday and they said they don't want to see him till after Xmas now, so that's good news.

Chris Hollins really brings out the best in people and despite being just a good, sometimes great, dancer he still has so many fans voting which shows the appeal of his good nature. Team Cola have definitely been the highlight of this series for me.

I like the way Laila isn't afraid to stand up for herself and seems to have a really strong character.

Natalie is totally adorable and loving the experience and that's what the show is all about. Aside from Craig getting to Blackpool of course.

I am happy because:

Natalie and Vincent and Chris and Ola have great fun relationships and enjoy dancing - they really make me feel that anyone can have a go at it and enjoy it.
Ricky looks goood in almost everything - reminds me of OH in his (much) younger days - and dances so skilfully(sadly not so reminiscent of OH's youth).
Brian I think has brought out a happy confident side of Ali, and his concern for her last night was touching. Her ballroom dancing is exquisite.
Laila always looks beautiful, even in a fringed catsuit, and I like her and Anton together - nice to see him coping with someone who doesn't fall at his feet in a middle-aged swoon!

I like the judging panel this year, and I love how Craig has been seriously putting some effort into getting the world record for the most Dahlings in an edition of ITT -
Fab-you-lus!

My new top fits! Eldest is getting good offers for Uni, and Youngest is back at school after sick day. And we are off away for a shopping trip this weekend - stollen and gluhwein here we go!

I am happy that Ricky did actually get to Blackpool
Natalie's sheer enthusiasm is lovely to see

How nice to have a thread like this, where you don't feel miserable after reading it !

I'm enjoying Vincent and Natalies's friendship. Their ITT moments are funny !

Claudia is so good on ITT.

The new girl Pro dancers have brought a freshness to the show.

JohnfromWales's musings are wonderful!

It was Mrs TLF's 40th yesterday, and I got back home after a few days away to find a fridge full of Champagne! As Mrs TLF says "A girl can never have too much Champagne. If you can't drink it all then just bathe in it." My suspicion is that there won't be much bathing involved...

We're off to see Priscilla Queen of the Desert on Saturday.

I'm happy that

James & Ola are winning new fans this series

Ali and Brian appear to have a romance not a showmance

There's no Sunday show this year

Jade's website took the trouble to send us all personalised replies to our mails

Heather Small's sense of humour is as lively as ever

JohnfromWales still seems to have his muse working overtime after 10 weeks

Nice idea Drb - very uplifting

1. I want to thank Jo Wood for bringing out the best in Brendan and totally changing my opinion of him. It was also heartening to see Jo leave Strictly armed with much needed confidence and with a smile on her face.

2. I'm not a huge fan of James' dancing and choreography, but I think he's done an admiral job of presenting for ITT. He may win me over yet.

3. I had never heard of Chris Hollins prior to Strictly, but getting to know him has been a joy, as has watching him dance with Ola. They are a terrific little twosome, so cute and so well matched.

4. From the outset, I've found myself drawn to Laila Rouass. An exotic beauty with a cracking personality. She's utterly fascinating. And sometimes, I'm more excited about her 'look' each Saturday than her dancing!

5. I didn't think I'd be keen on Natalie Cassidy when the initial line-up was announced. But she has proved to be a charming, endearing girl and I think she's something of an inspiration to us all.

6. Ricky W comes across as a really decent fella and I'm increasingly enjoying his dancing. I didn't even mind 'that lift' during the American Smooth!

7. Ali is a talented, sweet-natured girl and I wish her a speedy recovery. I don't want to see anyone else drop out the contest.

8. I didn't appreciate just how much Jade & Ian brought to the competition until they left under very sad circumstances. I miss them terribly and cannot wait for that eagerly anticipated Tango of their's on finale night.

9. My crush on Len has finally subsided. It was really getting me down that I could fancy someone old enough to be my grandad.

10. I'm totally besotted with Ignazio and I want to marry him!!!!!

Not sure about fancying Len though

I put that down to a moment of madness (granted, it was a moment that lasted 3 years!).

I've got a much more respectable crush now - the presenter of Eggheads.
