hey, does anyone know if they will be releasing any new tracks? and are there any fans left of them? and any realy sad fans like me who even now the words to teh russion versions of the songs?

i downloaded the russian version of the album the other week, and I thought it was supprisingly good. I had heard the English versions of the singles and thought they were pretty good, but there is something I like about the russian lyrics.

I liked TaTu. They were unique, didn't care what people thought of them and produced good records. However, I think they did lose their contract. Don't know the story behind it. Last time I heard them was at WWE Wrestlemania XX; Victoria has them as her theme tune as she goes down to the ring.

totally agree - a great pop song which,as you say stood up in its own right - pretty much your definitive *great pop song* ie a bit of controversy - it doesn't matter that that controversy is totally contrived - but at the end of the day a great pop song as well.

controversy on its own rarely makes a pop song great.

having said that, i'd be surprised if they released another album - successful as the last one was, it was ultimately very contrived and of the moment, which has, as these things usually do, now gone.

they were just the sort of band that would have been perfect for ZTT around 1986/87 when the original tripple whammy of of FGTH, The Art of Noise and Propaganda was starting to go a bit arse.

They've put out some great music, most people will have heard of them because of All the Things She Said (me included) but when you look past that, they've had some awesome songs.

They seemed to do well until they came second at Eurovision. As one of the biggest acts of that year I think they were predicted to win.

Yes, I was watching Eurovision that year and they kept getting votes so I turned over, thinking that it was done and dusted early on. I was really surprised then to switch back later and see the Turkish entrant celebrating!
