New dances and the Professional Dancers

Why are the Professional dancers only being taught the Charleston and Rock and Roll now? Shouldn't someone have thought before the series started ' oh we are adding new dances this year, let's teach our professional dancers them now before they even start having to teach their celebrities for week 1'.

This has happened before - it isn't new. They had external choreographers in for the introduction of the AT and another dance which slips my mind for now. Also to keep the competition fair, the pro dancers don't know at the beginning of the series what dance they will be dancing each week.
