I hope she quits, I have actually loved her a judge. But I can't see the BBC renewing her contract and would rather she left with what's left of her pride rather than being sacked.

Seeing her on ITT tonight confirmed my opinion that she is wrong for SCD and SCD is wrong for her.
I have actually come to the point where I find her so irritating that I mute the sound when she speaks. |

Ah, I see. Naughty girl
It wouldn't matter what woman you put in there. One critical word and they'd be shot down in flames. Even Karen. She has really got a backlash for saying nasty comments to Craig and Chris etc however everybody seems to love Craig who in previous series (he has toned it down a bit now) has destroyed celebs with comments he has made. Bruno can be rude as well. I personally did not blame her with Craig it was the only way to get through to him as he just would not listen to the judges comments ever and thought he was good - I expect she just expoloded and had to tell him he was not as good as he thought he was - it was only what everyone thought anyway!! However I do think she has not really been accepted and a new judge would be better. |

Many females speak more eloquently, more knowledgeably and with more authority on dance than their male counterparts; think Karen Hardy! Alesha however lacks eloquence, knowledge and/or authority - thus her critiques are meaningless. The beeb did no one any favours when they foisted Alesha onto the SCD afficionados. |

Quit or sacked its going to happen.
she has been EpicFail for the series her biggest mistake? trying to talk like a judge doing this for 20 odd years..instead of someone who was just like them she got her entire outlook on judging wrong. |

I love Alesha, she's brilliant and all of you are vile and cruel to the poor girl - making her out to be a monster when the real monsters are YOU!
Ughhhhhhh i really hate all of you who stick your nose up at Alesha. Anyway, I do hope Alesha quits as music is far more important than you bunch of wannabe's slagging her off 24/7 YES, YOU ARE SAD PEOPLE. |

I am not an Alesha fan but have to agree with your post.
As a dancer Craig appeared in a number of musicals before picking up an Oliver award for Spend, spend, spend. Bruno has spent his life in dance; as a dancer and choregrapher. Alesha's credentials are nothing more than a pop singer who won SCD after 10 weeks dance training. I know whose judgement I trust. |

This is where you are wrong - do you really think Alesha just got to where she is because of her singing voice? NO. She got their through her dancing skills and went to dance classes when she was younger, learning techniques. While in Mis-Teeq she had to judge what dancers would be their backing dancers & learn dances herself. Then she joins Strictly, learns everything about dancing hands-on and wins the show. then has lots of success with singing & dancing being her real talent on stage. |

I have difficulty understanding why those who fail to adore her are sad, just as I am confused with your hatred of those who disagree with your veneration. Please explain your definition of wannabe. |

Both Craig and Bruno are experienced choreographers.

Poor Alesha - she must be kicking herself - if only she'd had the sense to accidentally clip a paparazzo while in her car and get herself arrested, she could have been the toast of this forum!

I hope Alesha comes back next year -- just to p*ss off all her haters.
If Alesha's been disliked only for her work as a judge then fair enough, the only thing I find annoying about her is her duck like laugh , do ducks laugh ? If she's hated for any nasty reasons then tough t. |

I don't know how you can say that after the way Len, Craig and Bruno are forever contradicting each other...

![]() ![]() You don't like Alesha, full stop. If they'd given the job to someone equally inexperienced that you really liked, I doubt you'd kick up such a stink about it. |

Well said - I agree 100%
You've been repeating the same thing ad nauseum, for the past three or four months. Honestly, I wish you people would give it a rest. |

If you check out the 'Alesha grammar' thread you will see that I defended her against the grammar police. However I see no reason to support her place on the judge's panel when she clearly lacks authority and you can rest assured that my opinion rests solely on her inexperience and has nothing to do with like or dislike. Alesha does not have the experience, the knowledge or the authority to critique dance. That is unarguable. |

Upon what do you base this assumption?

She's been working with choreographers for a long time, so no doubt she has picked up a lot of dance techniques from them -- as well as Matthew Cutler, of course.

I feel a bit sorry for Alesha. She's clearly stuck between a rock and a hard place. I don't think she's done the best job of making where she is more comfortable but on the other hand it was never going to be easy to do that anyway. If I were her I'd get out now. She's gorgeous and she has talent - I'm sure there's a niche for her that's a little less rough on her behind!
