I really like Joe, but what would possess anyone to wear their mum's clothes ?

This isn't a 'hate' thread, so please try and be nice.

It was in a VT from one of the week's shows.

He use to dress up in his mum's clothes, singing to WHAM .

Does it mention the age at which he did this? Most kids do dressing up and singing - if he was six years old it would mean nothing! Seems as if the OP is just trying to create a slur!

He was a kid at the time. Most kids dress up for a laugh.

Is this where the, 'is Joe gay' idea came from?

i think there are other reasons

i didnt know he used to dress up in his mums clothes (not that it matters...why theres a thread on it i dont know).

i got the idea he might be gay just from the way he acts.

Well, it worked for Michael Jackson. The black sparkly jacket that became iconic, which debuted at Motown 25, was in fact his mums.

I haven't read the 'is so and so gay' threads, as I thought it was all probably just speculation.

If you didn't have much to do with children you may not know that they love dressing up in any clothes and pretending to be anyone, it doesn't mean that they're gay. Even if Joe is gay what does that have to do with his singing? Remember, one of the best singers to come out of X Factor is Will Young

pmsl , I use to do it myself

And I am gay, so I was only starting this thread to understand whether or not the reason as to why Joe did dress up in his mam's clothes was because he was gay.

I didn't make this clear, but I didn't want to come across as labeling him because I really like him.

Lots of gay people have never dressed up in women's clothing, while, according to lots of documentaries I have seen, a large number of heterosexual men dress up as women...

My six year old boy loves dressing up, and has done since he was about 2, can't see him growing out of it any time soon.

As well as dessing up outfits that have been purchased (pirate, racing driver etc) he makes up outfits out of whatever he can lay his hands on, which includes mine and my husbands clothes. My baggy black cardi is currently Darth Vaders cape

Well I think one has to understand as a child one feels comfort from the clothes and this is normal. For goodness sake please the poor young man has done nothing.
Bless him.

I m female however my brother and I used to dressup and make believe -one sexual orientation has nothing to do with dressing up or feeling comfort by wearing clothes of ones parents. For goodnesssake he was a child.

I dressed up as a teletubby once for a fancy dress party.

All of a sudden I found myself hanging around bright green fields trying to come to terms with my custard addiction.

The last straw came when my family found me cutting my stomach open in the kitchen and trying to stuff a portable television into the wound.

So dressing up clearly has a detrimental effect on ones behaviour. Keep an eye on Olly. Any day now he'll start knitting Shreddies.

Mita, you're getting the wrong impression. I really like Joe. I am not saying anything bad about him
