Nobody is ever likely to mention it again. It will be dropped by the police and if there is a civil insurance case to prosecute (which there wouldn't be in this case), the insurance will deal with it.

This is just an accident. Big storm in a tea cup if you ask me. And if Ricky is as scared of Natalie, as some people on this forum think, he's probably more worried about what she will say to him when she sees him.

This type of thing is routine for the police and no one ever ends up being charged with nada.”

Whilst I personally don't think he'll be charged with anything, he isn't out of the woods yet.

It took the police from 3rd July to 19th November to charge Harriet Harman with a car related offence.

It was unfortunate occurrence and I am sure Ricky had a bad day BUT he has to be a grown up about this. No one is hurt and these things are just following procedure.

She was breaking the law when the accident happens: talking on her mobile. Until such time as we hear the Ricky was 20 times over the limit and chatting on two mobiles at once I am going to continue to take the stance that this is all about nothing. He unfortunately seems to have clipped a photographer while trying to drive away through a busy crowd. End of for me until I hear otherwise.

I'm wondering how this will affect the Voting, I guess it depends on what the rag-tops say about him tomorrow.

I wonder if

A, People feel sorry for him and vote or

B, People assume he is a dangerous driver, or got road rage etc and not vote for him

If he is in the bottom two will he perhaps buckle under the pressure and dance badly?

IMHO it seems like it was perhaps an accident or maybe even the photographer stood in front of the car to try and prevent Ricky from driving home? (in order to take more pics)

Yes I agree. Blackpool was good but apart from that ... Cowell will be rubbing his hands in glee

I really don't think that people have sympathy for the paparazzi - that's not saying that celebs have to go round mowing them down but this particular photographer doesn't appear to have suffered much bodily harm from what we've heard.

And looking ar Ricky's car right now. The thing is huge he could have just brushed past him and bruised the guy.

And most people probably won't even read the tabloids. Its all over nothing: mark my words.

I'm an Ali fan but I am looking forward to seeing Ricky dance tomorrow. I don't understand people gloating because he may be out of the competition because, for me, him and Ali are the competition. All the others are the comedy contestants, entertaining enough if you like that kind of thing.

If the likes of Chris or Natalie win then I will be quite happy with that, I know people like them, but if they win without competing against the best dancers then it won't be much of a show

If he is charged, I think he would probably withdraw himself. If we put this case aside, he's acted impeccably throughout the series and he hasnt been in trouble with the Police or anything before. He's seems like a decent guy and he would therefore jump before he is pushed.”

You don't get charged straight away.I'm sure the police will continue to investigate and if there is any charges to be brought they will do so.At the moment no one knows but there is still a chance he could be charged in the next few weeks before SCD finishes

I think that Ricky biggest crime is the size of his gas gussling jeep .
Who needs one of those on this side of the equator anyway .

I think that if its a pap he clipped (if that is what happened) then I would imagine many will be cheering him on - whilst reading the latest edition of Heat of course.

I just want them all to be fit and well and compete to the best of their ability. The off screen rubbish interests me not at all. I just want to be entertained for 90 or so minutes on a Saturday evening.

So do I but if they have done anything to bring the show into disrepute then they need to leave.Know-one is bigger than the show

Totally agree with you - what a week so stressfull. I am so glad that both Ricky and Ali can dance tomorrow - the two best dancers. I just hope their circumstances do not affect them both to much.

You have no idea that will happen. I think he is quite likely to be charged with offences such as

Leaving the scene of an accident and or failing to provide a breath test/driving under the influence. They will be seperate to anything to do with the photographer and his part in it. Leaving the scene of an accident is an offence no matter what else happened.

You upbraid the previous poster for saying something that s/he has no proof to assert and then go on to do a similar thing.

You have no idea if he left the scene of the accident without consent and or/failed to provide a breath test/driving under the influence - none of us know what happened and it is all speculation which I suppose you are free to do. I just don't appreciate your double standards with ref. to previous poster.
