Itt is supposed to be a daily update on the SCD candidates and not a word about what happened to Ricky, even though it was reported in their news bulletin.

Claudia did say that they couldn't go into it - and Craig joked they should have been dancing to Jailhouse Rock rather than... whatever they are dancing to. They didn't ignore it entirely.

I know they can't go into it but she could have read out a statement . If they can tell what happened in their News bulletin, surely they can do the same on ITT and say if he's going to compete tomorrow.

What's the point though of just repeating the news bulletin?

Well, I think they probably thought that they didn't have to say whether or not he was competing - the fact that they were showing his traning footage was probably quite a good indication.

As it happens I do think they should have mentioned it, but I don't know how much they're allowed to say and it might have just been easier to do it the way they did.

Not everyone will have seen the News. Its like pretend it didn't happen with the ITT producers to spoil all this whacky, happy atmosphere created by Claudia.

It'll be all over the papers tomorrow though but let's hope, one can always dream, they report accurately what happened 'cos from what we've heard so far re. the sequence of events, it's sounding a bit like a mountain out of a molehill.

I got the impression that the whole show was pre-recorded today which means that no one on ITT knew fully what the situation was with Ricky at the time it was recorded?

Well it gets everybody intrigued and will probably get more viewers to see what's what.

Glad to see the BBC didn't just chuck him off the show. Clearly wouldn't be a good move for their viewing figures!

And the other drama of Ali and her foot. Another injury? Brian must be either a bad teacher or he's too rough!

Looks like Natalie could actually be in with a shot! Even if she's rubbish.

Oh thank you. I didn't catch what he said and have been wondering. Funny.

Yes only and apology now from Ricky will be enough to kepp him in I think

I think to an extent nobody has the right to know anything. He may be a 'celeb' and although he signed up to dance on the show, we don't have a right to know what tissue he wipes his backside with or what goes on in his life outside of Strictly.

Hmmmmmmmmmm defending Ricky I wonder why.

He's a celeb and people will speculate whether you like it or not just as they do with Alesha.

What? I need an excuse for having an opinion? I don't know Ricky. Don't particularly like or dislike him. I don't even watch the show properly.

It could be any of the pros or celebs but outside of the show I don't think we have a 'right' to know what's going on in their private lives.

By all accounts he volunteered himself at a Police station at 0530am yesterday morning to be interviewed in connection with the incident.

Neither the BBC nor any other agency will comment or speculate. The matter is now in the hands of the Police to investigate further, carry out more interviews and establish if there is any case to bear. And this is why the BBC will not comment further on the subject, there is no statement to be made and certainly no "explanation" due to Joe Public.

Ricky will perform on Saturday night, anything about the alleged incident with the photographer is just that, an alleged incident until the Police state otherwise, or announce there is case to answer.

I read that the same photographer has accused another celebrity of assault before. How true this is I don't know.

It is true, the celeb in question was Paul Gascoigne and the whole thing was dropped eventually when this Steve person withdrew his allegations of assault, probably after realising he was becoming even more hated than he is already.

To be fair it was the funniest ITT this year , I laughed until I cried at the Nat and Vincent training session, I notice they saved it for last, and finished with all four falling about laughing As for Ricky innocent until ...and all that.

Ali kicked her sofa at home the first time she injured her foot and this time she was dancing on her own (while being instructed by the Charleston experts) when her foot slipped from under her.

You should probably try to know what you're talking about before you say such ridiculous things about Brian.

The matter is sub judice and so it cannot be commented on.

Seeing as he has not been charged with anything, and that "enquiries are continuing", I fail to see what he has got to apologise for.

he hasnt been charged yet and until he is noone should have to say anything

arrested is one thing loads of people get arrested then are let off

Tbh I think the whole thing must be a fairly minor affair if Ricky is dancing on. Had there been a failed breathalyser test or the suspicion that he'd left the scene to avoid taking one he'd be out on his ass.

No I disagree with that. The celebs are quite happy to share part of their lifes with us when it suits them (e.g. kids, mums, families, injuries etc.). It's not like a pickn'mix shop, where you can give the "gullible" audience what you like.
